They have a FREE day on the first Saturday of the month. Parking is FREE. I took my 2 year old and it was very crowded. I would recommend going if it is your first time on a free day since there is nothing to loose, but for a more relaxed time go on a weekday. Things my 2 year old loved - Shadow box (I loved this too), trains (he loved pushing the buttons and seeing them go), the real and stuffed animals, and the bus. We took lunch with us and had it at the park. socalpocketmemories.blogspot more

My two year old had a blast here. It is small enough that he can do everything before he gets bored or tired. There is a park outside too which is nice. I remember going here when I was in school. I'm glad I can now take my children. more

This place is not too big so it is not overwhelming. They have a huge enclosed train area which the boys could watch for hours. They were young at 3 for the dress up room but that looks like fun. The play room is cute for the little ones. more

My girls really like to go here. They like to dress up and play in the toddler area. My only complaint is that during the week they have a lot of school groups and rooms can become very crowded. I wish they would have one day without the school groups. more

My kids and I enjoyed the experience. It's pretty far from the fwy and really far from South OC. My toddler was terrified of the room with the taxidermy (real stuffed animals) but they could've sat in the bus and pretended to be bus drivers all day long! more

Just to let you know, the first Saturday of each month is free through the end of 2008! There are themed programs for families and children of all ages which include music, dance and visual arts. Great deal and even if you can't come on the first Saturday it is worth it to pay to go! Great pretend play exhibit going on right now! more

This was a great adventure for our kids. They loved it! The museum is set up with all these fun activities for kids. A favorite was the theater room where you could dress up in costumes even costumes for boys that were not princes :> There was an area to pretend to dig for bones, pretend to drive a real OCTA bus, pretend to be a police officer, fire fighter, vet, school teacher, postal worker, and more. It was a great interactive fun play place. There are also real "stuffed" animals at the one end (nature walk area) which did scare my kids. So worth checking out! Can't believe we haven't been sooner. more

Our children (2 and 4) love the museum. Especially the train room and the toddler play room. They also enjoy going to the multi purpose room for the crafts or entertainers as well as the changing exhibit room (always something new every 3 months or so). The grocery store, bus and carousel are also big hits. more

My children (ages 1 and 3) love the Children's Museum. It's the perfect size for their age with activities that they love. The grocery store, the carousel, the animal rooom, the dress up room - all these things make it worthwhile for a fun morning or afternoon out. They also have great programs on their calendar to attend while you are there. The family pass which is for up to 12 people is great, and if you have a Discovery Science Center Pass, the admission is 1/2 off. more

A nice casual place to spend some time. The train track is a favorite of my family, as is the carousel. Kids get the chance to dress-up because there are so many costumes for dramatic play, with a stage waiting for your thespian to shine. more

A real train car, a full sized stage with costumes, a toddler room with every plastic toy one could think of. And baby animals. It is difficult to get to the playground with a stroller. more
