Children's Medical Group

I believe we were treated unprofessional by Luxemberg today. I've been going to this practice for 19 years and have never been treated like this before. As a medical professional I would be fired treating patients the way he treated my son and myself today. I will never have him see my children again. Thank goodness Dr. Wilion is their primary doctor!! In the 19 years we have been treated with respect and never felt condescension. more

Luxemburg is a total tool!!! my daughter has a phobia because of him. he is so tough, make sure dont make an appointment to this doctor. more

My daughter has been going to this group since she was a baby. Some of the Doctors are wonderful: Dr. Hoffman, for example, but he has recently retired. After a couple of incredibly unprofessional, abrasive appointments with Dr. Luxembourg, I too refused to allow him near my daughter anymore.\r The past several years have been a constant source of frustration. If this group hopes to push their patients out by a certain age they certainly don't do much to hide that fact. Additionally, there have been several appointment errors made that the staff gets indignant about and actually try to shift the blame onto the patient. They are just beyond unprofessional. One staff member actually sent me my daughter's entire file by accident and couldn't explain why other than to insist I must have requested it!! (?!)\r The worse, however, is the P.A., Catherine. She used to be a kind woman but has become increasingly rude, insulting and condescending with time: I think it's fair to say she needs to retire. She refused to run a blood test for a health issue my daughter was having, saying ""we don't just order blood work 'willy nilly'""... only to have a doctor override that decision and order one. She is just nasty. Since her last visit, my daughter refuses to return to this place and I am in total agreement with her. They obviously don't care about their clients so why should we continue to line their pockets?\r Do yourselves a favor: Find people who actually CARE about their patients and who keep in mind that WE have hired THEM. They work for US, regardless of what they may think. The mentality there is just mindboggling.\r Notes to the fine Doctors at C.M.G.: You should seriously consider re-training your staff or starting anew with new hires. This lack of professionalism reflects quite poorly on your practice.\r more

I have a 7 week old baby and chose this group because several friends recommended CMG. I have been to my fair share of doctors and I thought they were good, but after experiencing the high level of care that my baby has received from this group I now have much higher expectaions for my own doctors. \r \r Each time I have been to the office (including on a Sunday) I have felt that my baby was getting very thorough physicals and my questions were answered in a way that was easy for me to understand. I have seen Dr. Brown, Dr. Wilion, Dr. Luxemburg, Dr. Weinerman, and 2 nurse practitioners. I prefer to see a doc over a NP, but all have been great. \r \r I'm shocked to see a negative review about Dr. Luxemburg. If I had to compare him to the other docs, I would say that he spent the most time with me. I saw him for a ""sick"" visit and he calmed my nerves and explained exactly what was going on with my baby. I would definitely ask to see him again. more

We've been going to CMG for 15 years. Most of the docs are wonderful, but I agree with tonyr437. One of the docs is absolutely horrifying. I will no longer let him near my children. Every time we saw him, he was rough, dismissive, and rude. On one occasion he lost his temper when my child was nervous about having an in-office medical procedure. He berated my son, called him a baby, and stormed out of the room in a rage. The other doctors are very good, but I have learned that I would rather take my children to an ER than take them to CMG if Dr L is the only doc available. more

When going never ever ask for Luxemburg. He insulted me so bad since im overweight, during my physical and it totally messed with me. be advised dont ever go with luxemburg its a terrible choice. see him at your own risk! Pros: Great nurses and staff Cons: Luxemburg more

Been going here since my daughter was born, over 2 years now. Like every doctor except one who was very 'old school' and rough. The other drs will play with or try to distract my daughter but this one just goes for it whether she's upset or not. Never saw him again. We've seen them all because unless you specify who you want, they bounce you around a lot, which I haven't decided if I like that or not. The nurses are very nice and helpful and the office staff is nice enough except for one crabby woman who shall remain nameless. Must be the same one the other reviewer mentioned. Have gotten attitude from her on more than one occasion. Pros: Good Docs Cons: One bad apple on the staff more
