Spouse and I are both employed by this institution. Our 5-month old was running a high grade fever and we went straight in on Sunday evening 8/3/14. After a 2 1/2 hour wait, tylenol, and vitals (which the O2 reading was worrisome but apparently the machine was malfunctioning according to staff), we decided to leave as we could be more productive at home attempting to treat the fever. I'm not one to typically judge a unit's dynamics being a health care clinician but this was simply ridiculous. Frankly, we were embarrased by how we were treated by the ER staff and the experience overall. Hopefully this is an isolated event.
