Children's Castle Pre-School

Our son has been going to Children's Castle for almost a year now and our experience has been phenomenal. We looked at many different schools before choosing Children's Castle. The reason we initially chose Children's Castle was because of their summer program and all of the great things we had heard from our friend whose children also attend Castle. The reason we stayed at Castle was because the Teachers, Curriculum, and teaching methods were top notch. The school is also VERY flexible. Being a parent with a demanding schedule, its a relief to know that Children's Castle will accommodate. Being part of the Children's Castle is like belonging to a family. I can not in good conscience recommend this school for a few valid reasons. Staff and owners serve to a top few, examples to follow. No sense of unity among staff. Gossip and half truths encouraged by staff. One year and s half ago, the former director was dismissed. From what my wife and I witnessed, disgruntled staff encouraged certain parents to wage a campaign against her to the owners. When she was put into a classroom, she immediately became the wonderful teacher she had been before made administrator. As a result of said campaign to get her removed, she has been a victim of character defamation to the likes we gave never seen.90% of parents had no issue with her. The campaign was a response to teachers fearing their own jobs, as Miss * attempted to improve the teaching and rooms of the school. I observed this and as I had known her for nine years I asked her why she put up with such bullying. She smiled bravely and defended that same group that was destroying her, and defending the owners as well against her removal from the office while the others took over. I admit I got angry and thought her in either the worsot denial or just plain ignorant. Now I re,alize she was truly defending a place she loved And people she considered family . I will not get into details, but I did speak to a former teacher who worked with her and found out an either greater injustice is underway. A certain dept. Lied to her to get her to cooperate by telling her the owners were on her side. The former teacher said Miss * will not talk to anyone, and is not doing very well. That was the extent of our conversation. The Bible tells us the meek shall inherit the earth. Well maybe this once animated, joyful lady has a chance, but if you hear of this letter, please contact my wife or myself. My brother is in employment law and is willing to lend an ear, free of charge to see if any thing can be done for you and your children. Do not remain silent as you have rights. Good heavens at least tell your story. Because of What happened most recently, your employment options will diminish if you do not tell your side.we are willing to attest.to your character, your unwavering loyalty to a group that you smiled about and praised while they planned your removal. This is wrong and many of us are still angered by it. To the Johnsons, please consider the sources of the vicious gossip and cruel observations which led you to remove the kindest most intelligent lady your school had . You must feel something towards the one you constantly referred to as 'like a daughter.' I am not sure if you even know all of the facts. We were all blinded,,,,temporarily,,,by that British importer. The Castle is one of the best preschool's for your son or daughter I have seen. For a brief time, I was a teacher assistant at the Castle. I loved every minute of it-- the children were awesome (kind, caring, and not out of control) because of great, watchful staff and they were so brilliant (not only common sense, but knowledge as well). I currently work in another preschool in Boca, which will remain nameless and though it is a much more expensive facility (gated, uniforms, private, and much more in tuition), it does not provide the same atmosphere as the Castle. The children in the Castle are willing and excited to learn and the Castle staff makes learning fun, so the kids don't even know they are truly learning. Everyday at the Castle, a child will go up to their parent or guardian and exclaim, "Mommy, mommy, guess what I learned today." At this other preschool, that never happens-- the children are not excited to learn because learning is not fun at the Boca preschool. Years ago "The Castle" truly was a great pre-school. Unfortunately, it has gone downhill and fast. The sad part is that the owner's live out of state and are not able to effectively manage their preschool any longer. It is self evident, especially after the most recent situation, with the firing of Miss Manda and the fictitious stories being contrived. Political games, multiple directors, a deteriorating building, equipment and much needed repairs. There are too many great preschool choices in the area for parents to select. Internal strife amongst the teachers, foolish/political games such as what recently transpired are unacceptable. What was really shocking is that the owners didn't even come down to handle such a situation and get down to the bottom of the story. It shows just how much they have let the school go in their management. It is hard to send your child to school, when you know the teachers have ulterior motives and your child's best interest and safety are not first and foremost. There are many better options in the area. Hopefully, the owners will realize their mistakes before it is too late. It is such a shame. Time for Paul & Joyce to sell their business so it can be run effectively. Wake-up, the inmates are running the asylum! We want a preschool focused on our CHILDREN, like it was years ago! more

Two removals were right. one was wrong. we are glad the Johnson's have seen the light. we are dissapointed more didn't speak up sooner, but we were basically lied to. to tiffany? you are misguided. we care about our childrenn as much as you. you were fooled as so many were..Miss "...." should have told the Johnsons how she stood up for them. I withdrew my daughter after my husband was treated rudely and not as a paying client. Also when certain teacher lost her purse and called every parent in her class and basically accussed me of steaing it! My husband was furious that the police came to our home. we put our baby back in when Miss "...." apologized for her and said owners knew. How said that she's gone mostly for sticking up for the "bit....." woman We've ever met. P.M. withdrew her son for similiar reasons. Too bad. more

We represent about six or seven mommies who "hang out" together. Most of our children are super friends, too! Four of our "superfriends" as they like to be called:) either attended The Castle, attend now, or plan on attending.....or not.:( My eldest was a Castle grad. School was amazing....rooms and building improved over last 5 years.... New floors, stocked shelves, computers, lots and lots of "randam art" as my daughter now calls it! This past year, apparently there was a mutiny on the bounty.Several staff members decided they would take over! It really happened. I will NOT go into details, but will HONESTLY say, this fall has been ....not good. The owners don't live here and they made a bad call, based on a clique of parents very close to 3 teachers....ALL I KNOW......Perhaps if the owners had cameras non of this would have happened. Hey, you can't ACT forever. Some people talk a good game. Some don't talk enough. Truth always prevails. The other "face" has revealed itself, and honey? All the coverup in CVS can't hide inner ugliness. We want "The Castle back......isn't Manda's place a different school. ? more
