I took my infant here for backup care. Upon entering the classroom that morning, the teacher was washing her hands while the only baby there at that time cried in the crib. That baby was ignored "she has trouble falling asleep." I insisted that the worker tend to that baby while I waited. Simply patting the child's back soothed her enough while she quickly fell asleep. I was told that my baby would be moved from that class later because the infant teacher wouldn't be there for another 1.5hrs. I handed the teacher the bottles of breastmilk and she placed them in the fridge without labels because they had run out of labels. She said she'd make sure to tell the infant teacher when she got in so that they could be labeled then. I insisted they be labeled with tape right away. I was nervous but left my child behind since I was told I could watch via video surveillance. The assistant director said she would email the link. Two phone calls and three hours later, I was informed that I couldn't be granted access as a backup care customer. I called the classroom twice to check on my child. The teacher was short, not hurried in her responses. During the second call I asked more pointed questions and was told that my baby was a little cranky and crying. When I arrived for pickup, the assistant director greeted me saying that my child did well and was happy. My baby greeted me with a big smile as he is usually a happy baby. I could tell he had been crying quite a bit - he was red around his eyes and had dried mucus under his nose. There were two teachers in the classroom. One teacher was burping one baby while the other finished feeding another. While I was preparing to leave, a third baby began to cry unattended to until I left - not even a word was said to soothe the baby. It was so telling that my infant didn't smile with the staff when we left. In contrast, when we left another daycare, he was all smiles for the staff. If you can do better, stay far away from this place!! more
