Chicago Vision Club has been the place for our whole family for all our eye care and eyewear. My wife and her mother have gone together several times to purchase the latest in designer frames as have our two sons. I am going there next week to get special polarized prescription sunglasses for fishing. Whatever your eyes require you can get it at Chicago Vision Club and at a great price. more

So I went to see Dr. Fu because I could never see very well with my contacts. I guess my old doctor ordered me the kind of contacts that don't correct for astigmatism - he never even told me that I needed astigmatism contacts. The new contacts that Dr. Fu let me try on made me see things really clear. I'm really happy with my new contacts. I also really like the glasses that I got. And Dr. Fu was really nice and helpful. I just had a terrible experience with this business, and while I usually never write negative reviews online about unsatisfactory customer service experiences I thought this business warranted me warning the rest of my fellow consumers against using them. There are many eye doctors in Chicago - save yourself the hassle and avoid this one at all costs. Here is the short story, although believe me I could write an entire page on my negative experience with this business: I went in to get an eye exam two weeks ago for contact lenses. Prior to coming in for my follow up exam a week later I researched contact prices online and noticed that Chicago Vision Club's (CVC) prices per box were over 50% higher than those online. I notified the CVC at my follow up appointment that I wouldn't be purchasing my contacts through them because their price was $96 higher for a one year supply of contacts. The owner of the store tried to embarrass and ridicule me in front of 5 other customers in the store that evening about not purchasing through his business, telling me ""that I should support local business"" and that ""I hope you can sleep at night after screwing me over"". I then attempted to purchase the contacts online however the CVC would not release my prescription to the online vendor to fulfill my order. Since I am running low on contacts and need a new pair immediately I had to go down to the CVC this evening and basically pay off the owner $45 for a copy of my prescription that I can send to the online vendor to order contacts. Saving $96 on the cost of contacts is better than paying a $45 bribe I guess. BOTTOM LINE: UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNCOMPETITIVE PRICES. IF I COULD GIVE THIS 0 STARS I WOULD. IN ADDITION THEY ARE ALWAYS RUNNING BEHIND ON APPOINTMENTS AND THERE IS ALWAYS A 25 MINUTE WAIT AFTER YOUR SCHEDULED TIME. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS Pros: nothing is good about this place Cons: Unethical, Unprofessional, High prices more
