Nice theatre 5/24/2006

This theatre is amazing. It looks okay from the exterior, but the interior of the building is real pretty. Its nicely built with a nice view from every seat. There are all sorts of shows held here-- mostly operas and musicals. There'[s a show here almost every weekend. The only inconvenience is the parking. Its hard to find parking nearby and it costs a lot to park. more

Chicago Theatre is a great show palace 3/19/2006

Downtown Chicago is fortunate to have a venue like the Chicago Theatre for concerts and other performances. The opera seating on one of the middle levels is a great spot to see the show. Most people take photos of the glitzy marquee in front of the theater, but look a bit more to see an impressive and ornate facade. more

Awesome Theatre 3/19/2006

This is a very special place and is a landmark here. Concerts, plays, musicals and even the host for many auditions are some of the reasons this legendary place is loved. The interior has some amazing architecture and is simply a classic. The "bowels" as they call them of the the theatre is the passageways that run back stage and thru the basement that I was privaleged to see when I worked as a security guard here. The walls are signed & decorated (drawings) by celebrites dating back to the 1940's and it is a rite of passage for them to do this to this day. more

One of Chicago's most beautiful theatres 3/17/2006

I believe most Chicagoans would agree that this place is wonderful. Throughout the years, I have been to concerts and live musicals here. The theater is lovely to look at, and I especially like their upper level box seats. I think the balcony is even better than the main floor (especially for concerts). The acoustics are great, and you feel pretty regal waltzing abou this classic theatre. I think they still have tours of the facility so you might want to check that out as well. more
