Outstanding Food 12/5/2007

My wife and I had dinner at the Chicago Fire in Midtown, Sacramento and the food was to die for. The service was a little slow, but all in all the experience was fantastic. I would recommend making reservations. Otherwise expect to wait 30 minutes to a hour to be seated. It is well worth the wait. It?s the best pizza I have had in years. Wow! People who only gave this place one star are out of their minds! They obviously have never worked in a restaurant before. SERVERS don't cook the food! Don't blame it on them if it takes a long time to get your food! Go to a drive-thru if you are so hungry. The pizza and salads are awesome and the only complaint I have is the incompetent hostesses. But you can't blame them when they tell you its going to be an hour wait and its longer. Some people sit at the table and BS longer than you expect! Yes, you will wait for a table and you will wait a while to get your food. BUT IT IS WORTH IT! If you are going to complain don't go there! Pros: taste Cons: hostesses more

Do not book a party here 8/11/2007

I have heard that their pizza is fantastic! But I will never know, since the manager was very rude when I wanted to have a birthday party for my husband. He treated me like I was taking up his valuable time and could not make any guarantees. He also said I could only have a party at 4:00 or 9:30 p.m.! If my guests did not get to the party before 5 p.m. then the space would be taken back from my guests. I know this is a very busy restaurant, but to be that rude. I would have been willing to pay a deposit, but they did not want to be bothered. more

This place survives on their food. Without it they would die. Thier service is lacking and their hostesses are extremely rude. It will take you forever to get a seat, and once you do it takes forever to get your food. If you have a party forget about a reservation and expect a 4 hour meal no matter what the occasion is. This place is not kid friendly because it just take too long to get your food. Kids need to eat! If you try and work with Rick the supposed manager, you will be mislead. They are about how fast they can move you in and get you out. It is a numbers game for them. I do not recommend going here unless you really like the food. more

Love, Love, Love the thin crust pizza!!! The wings are great too. The reason it takes longer to get seated...and sometimes takes a little longer to get your pizza.....is because....it's soooo popular...people love the place. If you don't like waiting a little for great food - go to McDonalds - Drive Through! Also, waiters and waitresses are allowed to have a couple bad days a year....give them a break...they work hard! Lousy customer service 9/14/2006

Our waitress was horrible. She acted as if she was to good to serve us. My TIP get a new job. Seating was slow and the food took forever once ordered. We also had a to go order and when we arrived home was shorted by half the wings ordered. It has been over a week and cannot get an answer on how this will be corrected. Have left messages and been told the manager will contact us. On there behalf the food is good if and when you get it. Pros: Great food Cons: Lousy customer service and Long wait for everything. more

I go to Chicago frequently. I have been to several pizza palors in Chicago, and this is the closest your going to get to Chicago Pizza, without actually going to Chicago. I love the croutons they put on the salad. I believe they make them themselves. They have a very nice, garlicy flavor. The salad is good too! We always get the thin crust sausage only pizza. My family love it; it is very family friendly. The wait is not that bad, now that they added on an additional room. I also like the fact that the bathroom location has changed. Great Pizza. Worth the Wait. 1/12/2006

Chicago Fire doesn't take reservations on weekends. If you want to beat the rush, arrive between 4 & 5pm. Order your deep dish and stuffed crust pizzas early because they can take up to 35-45 minutes to cook. Order some drinks, a salad, and a thin crust pizza to snack on while you wait for the main course. The chocolate chip pizza dessert is to die for! The service was very attentive to our large group. Pros: Great food, Great dessert, nice atmosphere Cons: hard to find parking, long wait more

Good pizza, but slow service 10/30/2005

If your looking for chicago style pizza and you don't want to travel outside Sacramento too far, then this is the place to go. However, the service is soooooo slow! Waiting for a table is rediculous and after you've been finally sat after 45minutes to a 1hour wait, you then have to wait an additonal 30 minutes for your food....Geez! Pros: good pizza, good atmosphere Cons: slow service, slow service, slow service more

Sweet Home Chicago 2/26/2004

A true Chicago treasure tucked in historic Folsom. The Pizza is true to the Chicago tradition whether you like thin and crisp or thick and gooey. The toppings seem to be of the highest quality and freshness.
