Cosy little place 8/27/2006

I was in Chicago theater for performing arts for a tango festival. The parking around is kind of a pain to find, but the theater itself is rather nice and cosy (small, too - the main auditorium has room for maybe 150 people). The upholstery is neat and clean, and the seating arrangement is the best I'd seen - enough legroom, wide seats, and very high incline. We sat in the back row, and could see everything perfectly! I wish more theaters were that comfortable! more

Chgo Center For Peforming Arts 6/15/2006

I believe the name for this place is the Chgo. Center For The Performing Arts. I saw a play here in this intimate setting. There is not much in the way of decor or architecture inside or outsidfe. But they do get in some interesting and timely shows and hire some very talented people. There is a parking lot across the street that is I believe $10 or you can look for street parking like I did and park for free. I found a space about two blocks away.They have bar inside and usually an intermission during the shows. more
