The food was amazing!!! 4/4/2011

Brought my mom here last night. The food was amazing!!! We both got the french onion soup which was the best we've ever had. Very brothy and the perfect amount of cheese. I got the trout almondine and my mom got the lamb. The trout was cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of sauce. The service was also excellent. Very attentive servers. We went because we had a coupon but will definitely return more

You are the best 4/4/2011

Chez Vincent was an awesome experience. The food was incredible and our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. I highly recommend going to Hannibal's first for a glass of wine and then dining at Chez Vincent (right next door). Chef Vincent even came out to our table to see how everything was! Thank you for a great evening. more

Excelent ! 4/4/2011

We had lunch here this weekend, and I was pleasantly suprised. Service was great and the sauce on the Beef crepe (crepe Bourguionon I believe) was so good I couldn't get enough of it. Everything was fresh and cooked to order. I will definitely be back for dinner sometime more

Worst food ever 2/15/2011

Well, I will never understand people who wrote good reviews for this place because it was not good. being born and raised in France, I know a little bit about french food ! my grandparents are excellent cooks so I know good french food, this was not ! nothing to do with french food, everything oversalted and very expensive! the goat cheese salad had three miserable pieces of lettuce and a ridiculous tiny slice of what was to me, mediocre goat cheese! the bread was toasted and burnt, come on, if you call yourself a french restaurant, at least get real french bread ( baguette) and some nice cheese like camembert or roblechon. the deserts menu was useless, i mean french, we are known for our nice patisserie, and not even one of them on the desert menu! i think i am going to stop here, the only positive thing for me was our waiter, really nice, funny and entertaining. and thats probably cause he wasn't french, I overheard some french waiters talking bad about some clients sitting on the table behind me.... i guess they did not realize i spoke french more

Great Dinner! 4/19/2010

My husband and I dined for the first time this weekend. A friend recommended. Chez VIncent is now on our list of restaurants to hit monthly. The food was delicious. I had the escargots, loved them! And the Rack of Lamb. My husband had the Seared Tuna and thought it was prepared perfectly and the sauce, I did taste it once or twice, was really good. more

Chez Vincent is THE best place to take a date 4/18/2010

Chez Vincent is one of the Orlando area's best restaurant to take your date to. The cuisine is delectable and the staff was very courteous and knowledgeable. Great wine list! Pros: Delicious food, romantic atmosphere more

avoid it like a haunted house 2/21/2008

I made my way through the demilitarized zone called a ?neighborhood? to find Chez Vincent, a hapless yet arrogant grease trap. I heard good things about the restaurant, but in hindsight that was from people who were friends with the owner. The decor is early nineties Pier 1, about as authentic French as part of the ?It?s a Small World? ride. Our waiter arrived and he was everything you?d expect from the French ? rude, dull, malodorous. He immediately started out on the wrong foot by delivering my gin and tonic with his thumb in it. Being excited to dine in a French restaurant, I decided to order the escargot which, when prepared properly, are a must have. When they?re not, you get what I ate ? salty bits of gristle. My wife was craving scallops, but when they came out the stench was even telling my adventurous side that it wasn?t worth the dysentery she was going to get. I couldn?t believe how the waiter still served them after smelling them during the whole trip out from the kitchen. But then again, they probably smelled better than he did that night. When he took her plate away (completely untouched) he didn?t even remark that she didn?t eat any, and I?d swear that was because he was busy ogling her cans right in front of me. The rest of the meal was a comedy of errors ?leathery cuts of meat with off scents disguised by heavy-handed spices and oversalting. Mushy vegetables, watery cocktails, a haphazard wine list that tries solely to cover the restaurant?s mortgage payment, more stolen glances at the wife's knockers. The pie for dessert was so bad I probably would have given it a better rating if I were hitt in the face with it. In summary, I wish I could defecate on a plate and invite Vincent and my snooty waiter over to eat it. Then I?d be returning a favor. Pros: Vincent has some real guts putting his name on the building Cons: An unlicensed Chinatown street vendor is probably more sanitary more

AVOID!!!! 1/5/2008

I took a very good friend here for her birthday this past week. We are both very fond of French cuisine and have lived in New Orleans prior to Orlando. We probably should've known better than to eat French food anywhere but New Orleans, as we have discerning palates as a result. more

From good to absolutey terrible 9/4/2007

We eat out alot, probably averaging 8-10 times a month. We first went to Chez Vincent about 2 years ago and loved it. The food was excellent and so was the service. I'm guessing we've been there around ten times. The third to last time we went it was barely just average, but we owed it to every restaurant has have an off night. The second to last time was substantially worse and we figured we wouldn't go anymore. But as (bad) luck would have it, we were in Winter Park for a Saturday evening and couldn't find anyplace else we could get into (which should have told us something). Service bad, real bad. Food, much worse. A few details; the bread comes hot on the outside, cold on the bottom. They bring it back dry and unedible. The mushroom soup was good, the onion mediocre at best as was the escargot. I had the sea scallops which consisted of 4 medium size scallops overcooked and hard on the outside while cold and raw on the inside. I don't care what dinner out costs, cheap or expensive, as long as it's good. $27 for this was ridiculous. My wife had the L'Assitte Gourmande which is five selections of fish that she had wrapped in a crepe. The crepe was burned, the salmon portion overcooked and the rest so fishy she had to send it back. I need you to understand, my wife loves fish. She even eats canned sardines and herring. I've never seen her send back a fish dish. This was really bad! When she told the waiter (after a long wait to see him) he said he would tell the chef. Maybe half an hour later, the chef comes out to the patio where we were, but stops by another table to talk with some other customers. His unfriendly glance at our table felt like he knew, but was ignoring us. Finally the waiter comes with our bill and her fish dish was still on there!! For all we knew, she was going to get food poisening even though she only struggled through a third of the small serving. RUN, don't walk away from Chez Vincent. more

Firstly I dont know what got up the parisian's nose but we all know about those snooty parisians. Myself and my wife were looking for a place to have our 10th anniversarry dinner and our good friends reccomended Chez Vincent. We made reservations and requested a window table saying that it was our anniversarry. When we arrived there was a small crowd in the restaurand but lo and behold they had kept their word and we had a beautiful table by the window with a candle and fresh flowers. Pros: Proffesional Service, Decadent Food and Ambiance, Ambiance Cons: Parking limited, gets busy on weekends more

absolutely insane 7/11/2006

I'am parisian born studying in Orlando, I really appreciate good restaurants in my home country and I have to say that ""chez vincent"" is by far the worst french restaurant in orlando. Pros: the service? Cons: so many things more

Go here......and you'll return many more times after that 6/27/2006

I love the food at this restaurant, I had frog-legs and lamb shank, both were delicious. The portions were big enough to fill you up without making you feel like you have just gained an extra 5 lbs. I'll definitely go back, maybe tomorrow? =) more
