We were craving Southern cooking and found this nugget tucked in Fairfield. We drove into the place unsure of what we would find and were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a flutist with an accompanying keyboardist. We walked into quite the cleanest restaurant we've ever been to and although the place was nearly empty that was absolutely no indication of what was in store. The service was prompt and friendly, the ambience great, and the food was even better. Finally my husband was able to enjoy the crawfish etouffe we had been searching for high and low. I had the gumbo which was really good. We piled up on more side dishes than our poor stomachs could handle. Everything was so good. \r

We were so impressed we stopped by the next week (we live an hour away) and ordered different dishes - fried chicken, pork chops, spare ribs, oooh and the banana pudding was just delicious. Wish I could find something negative to say about the place - oh yes, it's too far from where we live and it has made all other southern restaurants look ordinary.
Pros: Food, service, music
Cons: Out of the way
