My annual appointment was scheduled with Dr. Pinsky for 9:20 on Monday, 11/28/11. When I was still sitting in the waiting room at 10:10 (50 minutes after appointment time), I approached the desk to make sure I had not been overlooked. I was told at that time that Dr. Pinsky was running behind schedule. I had important meetings scheduled for that day, and I could not risk being late. I rescheduled my appoitment with Dr. Datta for the following morning, and I was very pleased with how quickly I was seen and the quality of my care. This is not my first experience with an unacceptable wait time for Dr. Pinsky, so I believe there is a scheduling issue. If Dr. Pinsky, or any Dr. for that matter, is running more than 30 minutes behind schedule, the patient should be alerted upon check-in and given the opportunity to reschedule before wasting valuable time in the waiting room.
