Best

It is small, but there are lots of activities for the kids. It is especially good for preschoolers. Each month, they have a deal to receive free admission.

Worst

Words cannot describe my disappointment in this so-called 'museum'. I took my grandchildren (ages 7 and 9). Place... dirty, toys old, more a rundown daycare, certainly NOT a place...

Hmmmmm 6/16/2010

Although the childrens museum may have all those wonderful things to do and play with, we had a hard time enjoying it because it was such a dirty place. There were a million little broken pieces of toys mixed in with everything that was out for the kids to play with. We even went on 1 other occasion for a "drum circle" that was advertised as a monthly event and upon arrival we couldnt find anyone to begin with, then when someone finally appeared we felt as if we were putting them out. They had to go in the back and lug out their drums as if they hadnt even planned on doing it???? I WILL NOT go back. Hopefully they will start sorting through their toys and cleaning thoroughly, this place is for little kids for goodness sakes! After going to the Baltimore Children's Museum I really came to the conclusion that this place in Annapolis isn't even in the same ball park and shouldn't qualify as a Museum!!! more

Great place for kid's fun and education! 5/31/2006

The Chesapeake Children's Museum is in a small trailer type building that is nestled back in a quite Annapolis community. However, it's size and location are deceiving. The inside offers a great deal of play and learning opportunities for children of all ages. My preschool aged daughter enjoyed playing with train tracks, pretending to drive a boat, making ramps from large blocks, and riding on small ride on toys. She was also able to make her own craft project from the kitchen full of supplies that can be used by any child during their visit. The supplies included old paper, folders, egg cartons, paints, stickers, glue, and more! The museum has tanks with different turtles, snakes, and other small animals from the bay area that kids can look at and touch. There are also areas for dramatic play, dental play, learning about your body, and more! In addition to the fun the museum has to offer, they offer a free admission deal each month, and have a variety of classes and events open to the public. more
