The Chesapeake Children's Museum is in a small trailer type building that is nestled back in a quite Annapolis community. However, it's size and location are deceiving. The inside offers a great deal of play and learning opportunities for children of all ages. My preschool aged daughter enjoyed playing with train tracks, pretending to drive a boat, making ramps from large blocks, and riding on small ride on toys. She was also able to make her own craft project from the kitchen full of supplies that can be used by any child during their visit. The supplies included old paper, folders, egg cartons, paints, stickers, glue, and more! The museum has tanks with different turtles, snakes, and other small animals from the bay area that kids can look at and touch. There are also areas for dramatic play, dental play, learning about your body, and more! In addition to the fun the museum has to offer, they offer a free admission deal each month, and have a variety of classes and events open to the public.
