Best Breakfast in Brighton! 5/14/2008

Having only visited this establishment since the renovation, I can only say good things as opposed to a "before and after" style review. The food is amazing, the only time service has every been slow in my experience is Sunday morning (and hey, where isn't there a brunch rush on Sunday morning? My heart goes out to waitstaff everywhere), the building is clean and enjoyable, all of the staff are friendly, and the portions are enormous for a very tidy price. If you're considering visiting Cheryl's for breakfast, do please go. Ignore the negative reviewers and make up your own mind. You're not likely to be disappointed. There's a reason it's been voted "Best Breakfast In Livingston County" years running. more

Good eats! 12/3/2007

Cheryl's Place is GREAT looking since the renovation! Interior and exterior was completely refinished, and no longer looks dirty and unsanitary. I go for sit-down and pick-up orders, both of which have fast service. The food is basic and greasy, but very tasty! It's Coney-Island style food, but it's a breakfast and lunch only place. Plus, on the good side, Saturdays and Sundays are completely smoke-free. more

Cheryl's Place has always been a greasy dirty place to eat breakfast. Finally they improved the cleanliness and appearance. It looks very nice. My dining experience today was the worst ever! With tile floors, no curtains, high ceilings, it has become a VERY NOISY place to eat. I met 2 friends for breakfast and we could not even hear each other. There were some loud diners eating and it became unbearable! Other diners were also complaining. The waitresses felt for us, but of course could do nothing to help the situation. I am writing a letter to the owner, Rocky. The service which usually is very fast was today VERY SLOW. It took us almost an hour and a half to eat. It was very difficult to get even get coffee. I won't be going back! more

Breakfast or Lunch Only 8/18/2005

This restaurant is only open in the morning and early afternoon. It's a cute but dirty little building that has a stone castle turret on one end. The food is kind of your basic greasy-spoon cuisine, but it's tasty if you don't mind the extra calories. The waitresses are friendly and efficient, the prices are good, and it has a regular clientele keeping it going strong. The building itself leaves something to be desired, especially the bathrooms that are little additions inside the dining room, ugh. The furniture is pretty beat-up but if you're only there for the cheap eats, it's not too bad. more
