Cherokee Property Management

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CHEROKEE. Had them manage my property when deployed overseas and they were completely incompetent from start to finish. Put in awful tenants, absence of any kind of communication, even took a commission from the deposit I had to use to repair extensive damage! Any other property management option in town would be better. more

I am a home owner and chose them to manage my property. They charge 10% along with a bunch of fees to do nothing. You will be responsible to pay for every credit check of a potential renter, ads in local paper, etc... I could have done this all myself. On numerous occasions I have found my property unsecure after they have shown it. They allow clients to use the bathroom when they know the water is shut off and then charge the owner a fee to clean things up. They charge for fraudulent services not done then claim that it was contracted out and they were not aware that it was not complete. Getting in touch with them is useless and your calls will not get returned unless you are paying for something. Good luck getting your rent from them in a timely manner. These people are crooks. You have been warned. Ft. Campbell should make them off limits to Military at a minimum. more

Cherokee was managing 6 units for us. For all of 2010 we had a 75%+ VACANCY rate, meaning either one or two units rented out of six. The people who run Cherokee have their own properties and I'm certain they took all prospective tenants to THEIR OWN UNITS before mine. They let our properties slide into disrepair so theirs would look better in comparison. They use your advertising dollars to drive foot traffic to their company, then rent their own properties. It's a scam. If you have used Cherokee in the past, please keep your eyes on the mail and local papers. We will be gathering information from others who had similar experiences so that we can pursue legal action against Cherokee. I changed to another company only 3 weeks ago and they have already rented 3 units!!! I gave them 1 star because you can't give "0". more

I have rented from Cherokee for a little over three years now. I have never had an issue with them. The staff have all been very friendly and helpful. I have been late on my rent a couple of times. As with any bill I realize there is a penalty for not paying on time. Thats life. As for maintenence, most of the time very prompt to fix what is broken, especially if it is major. The repair people have always been very helpful, friendly and willing to work around my schedule. \r I plan on staying for a long time. more

We rented a mobile home from this company when we first moved to the area. The place we rented was in ok shape, and the price was fantastic for what we got. We did have some issues with getting repairs done in a reasonable amount of time, but nothing too bad. The office staff was very friendly, and they gave me a great deal on lawn care when my husband was deployed. They also gave us back almost our entire security deposit. Honest company. more

The house is ok and the price was very decent. Our main issue was the maintenance coming out in a timely manner and actually do the job. Alot of times they would show up and say they would be back and not show up again until another work order was called in. We also had issues with them claiming they could not fix the problem and leaving it at that. The office staff in our instance was sometimes rude but overall ok. more
