Thank You, Dr. Cheng! 4/21/2011

I am so pleased with the Rhinoplasty surgery that Dr. Jacqueline Cheng performed on me a year and a half ago. I had a previous surgery many years ago with a different surgeon, and my nose did not heal properly from that surgery. I thought I had to live with the rough, uneven look of my nose for the rest of my life. I was scared to undergo another procedure.\r \r Fortunately, I met Dr. Cheng who immediately put me at ease and explained how she would do her best to achieve an improvement to my nose. She saw me several times before the procedure, and I could tell that she really cared about me and the outcome of my surgery. She gave me a realistic idea of what to expect and helped me through the entire process. After the procedure she called me several times and saw me in the office for several follow up visits. She did not take my case lightly and worked so hard to help me.\r \r My new and improved nose is straighter, smoother, and much more attractive. Dr. Cheng not only fixed the problems created by my original surgery but improved my overall appearance. It wasn't a drastic change to my nose...I still look like me, my children still resemble their mother, but now, I don't avoid taking photos and I feel much better about myself. \r \r I really appreciate Dr. Cheng's professionalism, skill, and empathy for her patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Cheng to anyone. She's a very special doctor. more

Botched Rhinoplasty, Not recommended 1/18/2011

I had a noise job with Dr. Cheng about 6 years ago. Till this day, i regret the decision i made by deciding to go with her without doing much research on other options. When i had my surgery, I too was given certain expectations which i was more then okay with. This was the beginning of a series of horrible experiences. After the original surgery, yes i said original, i notice my noise not centered on my face. It literally was crooked, which my nose was not previously. I tried to bring it up to Dr. Cheng but she insisted that i was seeing things. So I decided to have her brother Dr. Ebert Cheng take a look at it and without hesitation, he agreed with me.Only then did she decided that she wanted to do a revision to correct it. The revision procedure was painful since I'm sure because she wanted to reduce her cost did not put me under any anesthesia. I had no option but to do it or live with crooked nose. 6 years later now, my nose is very noticeably crooked, I have a lot of breathing problems because of it, and the tip of my nose is literally no longer attached to my nose. You can feel the cartilage just hanging under my skin. @sarahsummer - I'm glad you had a pleasant experience with her and I'm sure a lot of people will agree with you. I am the person that wrote the original post that you are referring to and I still stand by my experience. From the other reviews I've read here, I don't look to be the only one on the other side of the spectrum. I agree they are very nice people, but for something of this magnitude where my life is affected so drastically, I also want to share my story and experience as well. more

love my nose 11/14/2009

i had rhinoplasty performed twenty years ago. at the time, i didn't do much research and boy was it the biggest mistake of my life. the reason i'm responding is that i just truly love the result this time. at this stage in my life, i have a family, kids and a great job but everytime i looked at myself i hated my nose and myself. my husband use to say that this wasn't what was important and that he loved me the way i was, but it really bothered me! i started by researching surgeons and their qualification. i knew that i wanted to go to a specialist who had training in noses and then i even went further then that. i researched the best training institutions and the best nasal surgeons out there. i consistently found dean toriumi, md. i knew he was in chicago and i was in the bay area. i then looked up his fellows and graduates of his and found dr. jacqueline cheng. i interviewed 4-5 physicians and she was the one surgeon i ""connected"" with. i loved her right away. again, i'm not the type of person who is impulsive....at least not now. so i waited another year and researched more. i always seemed to come back to dr. jacqueline cheng. i showed her pictures and she told me that revision rhinoplasty and rhinoplasty is very difficult and expectations may or may not be achieved because of the way the bone heals and tissues heal. from what i remember she said, ""cartilage and bone and tissues can shift and sometimes a revision surgery is necessary"". ugggh, i did not want to hear this. i understood what she was saying because i had experience it before but didn't want to think about the possibility of my nose not turning out the way i wanted it. i'm alittle neurotic in that way. i imagine people who opt for plastic surgery must be similar to me. anyways, i am 2 years out now and still loving my nose. all this to say, feel comfortable with your rhinoplasty surgeon and do some research. Pros: love my nose more

Still Suffering Years After Rhinoplasty 2/11/2009

Dr. Jacqueline Cheng performed rhinoplasty on me. There were serious and life-long complications that resulted from the surgery. Not only did the procedure result in me looking nothing like what we had discussed, but my eye was injured and my lacrimal duct was damaged. The surgery has left me with permanently damaged vision and lacrimal duct issues (eye tears). The Dr. offered to perform a revision rhino, free of charge, since my nose looked so different from what we discussed. However, there was no way that I would do this for fear of more complications. \r \r Dr. Cheng is a very nice person. If only the results of the surgery could have been nice too. :-(\r more

had a facelift and more and continue to love it 3/12/2008

let me start out by saying that i'm a middle aged woman who is very happy in life. i have 3 kids and a great husband, but over the past few years i have noticed aging changes occurring to my face and body. darn it, i really hated it. i wanted to look like i felt on the inside and i was doing it for ME. i went to see 3 plastic surgeons and finally came to my consultation with dr. jacqueline cheng. i knew right away that my search had ended. i felt comfortable talking with her and she addressed all my questions. i believe i spent over 1 hour in consultation with her....that should tell you how many questions i had or how talkative i am. she patiently answered all my questions. i had facial plastic surgery by her over 1 year ago and continue to love it. i have since referred 3 of my best friends who have also had surgery with her and love it as well. personally, i hate these review sites and blog sites, but i needed to share my experience with you because it was so positive. Pros: beautiful office, patient and caring physician Cons: parking lot is in the back of the building more

Would Not Recommend 2/11/2008

While both Dr. Jacqueline Cheng her brother Elbert are pleasant to talk with and attempt to do their best, I do not feel the face life I received was worth the $10,000 I spent last year. Like the other face-life recipient who has posted a feedback, nobody noticed a change. I was only 49 years old when I received it, so it wasn't like I had a ton of wrinkles to start with. But, there was no noticable difference, except for a bit of tightening on my jaw line. Dr. Jackie did a really good job at pulling and stapling the jaw muscle, but could have gotten a much better pull on the skin itself. For all the pain I went through, for basically no noticable difference....it definitely was not worth it. more

Best Facial Plastic Surgury In The Bay Area 3/1/2007

I went to see Dr. Cheng and her brother Jan 2005. And, I have been going back ever since. I had a Botched nose job by another surgeon in San Jose,Ca and Dr. Cheng fixed the breathing problems and cosmetic problems perfectly.I think the other person who wrote the review saying he had a bad experience with her may have expected far too much. These people are not GOD but they can help correct a problem and make you look far better. Some people expect to look like models after plastic surgury.I think that you can enhance your looks but not look like a whole new human being. That being said, I would highly recommend Dr. Cheng and her brother. They are articulate and patient, really listen to you as a patient and care about you even more so. They tell you honestly about what to expect and take digitial photos before and after your procedure. It's amazing what they have done for me.The botox I get now works wonders, and if I ever need a face lift later, I will indeed be going to these marvelous Doctors. They both have been awarded many awards for Doctor or the year etc etc. Take my word for it, these Doctors are great and I am hard to please!!! Any questions just email me Summyshere@aol **Summer*** more

Best Facial Plastic Surgeon in this area 12/7/2006

Dr. Cheng is a highly-trained and board-certified in facial Plastic Surgery. I have been her patient since February 2006 and I am very satisfied with the result. I had a facelift and two Fraxel Laser Treatments. All my friends admire my youthful-looking face but none of them know that I had a facelift. I used to have a lot of dark spots on my face due to one of my medications. The dark spots have disappeared under her treatment. She and her brother are very professional and wonderful doctors. I highly recommend her to anyone who is interested to find an excellent facial plastic surgeon. Pros: very professional, compassionate and wonderful doctor, great staff more
