My daughter recently had her event there and I had problems from the very beginning.\r \r The Price - you get what you pay for. Having a rather large party size (over 150 guests) we were given the family style reception package. Problem 1 - the food for that is horrible. Problem 2 - the liquor available is well liquor. To get even the basic good liquor you pay extra; to get quality liquor you pay $6 per person (even counting the children). \r \r Decorations - We had the wedding in the Gazebo and you are not allowed to put anything up unless it is attached with florist wire or pipe cleaners. That I can agree on, but when we came for the rehearsal there was tape on the gazebo and everything was filthy. They were cutting the grass and just dumped it in the stream, which is not a running stream so it is a breeding ground for bugs, which came out in swarms the night of the wedding. Nice Place 8/10/2009

I was at the Chateau twice this year already and the only this that i had a problem with is that if you have an open bar you must have some one watch the door because guest from another room some time sneak into your hall and have a free drink . And as for Security any body can just walk in with out invitation and walk into a room and get to shooting ,they need to tighten up their Security Method. The guard only asked you what room you are looking for and point you in the direction of the room . They access control in very unsafe . But the food is great and the place is clean but I do worry about access control. Yuo never know when someone might start hateing Pros: private Cons: need more security more

Wonderful Reception!! 5/18/2009

I had my wedding reception at the Chateau Bu-Sche, and I thought the staff was fine to deal with. They had a great tasting session where you could taste all of the different options before you selected your meal. The rooms are beautiful, as are the grounds. It isn't in the best neighborhood, but honestly if you avoided every place where something bad has happened, you would probably just have to stay home. We did not have a problem getting in to set up before the reception started. The food was awesome, and we still get complimented on our reception over a year later!! The prices here were also VERY good, much cheaper than other places around the Chicago suburbs. I highly recommend the Chateau Bu-Sche!! more

Working with the staff 10/19/2008

I am a professional entertainer and have been for 19 years and do 70 weddings per year. Unfortunately my customers must pay me a 30% up charge if they book their wedding at Chateau Bu-Sche.First of all they book their weddings one hour apart and will not allow anyone to set up sound equipment unless it is a half hour before the next reception starts. Their owner and their management are very rude and unaccommodating. It's a great place to work if you want a migraine and you'd like your worst nightmare to come true. more

Bad neighborhood 9/24/2008

There was a shooting there and it ended in death. The owner is a complete creep. The employees lie, fight and cheat. I do not recommend. You will pay dearly to use this place. It is very expensive. more

Wedding Reception 11/8/2005

I attended a wedding reception here in the month of January. It was a great facility; welcomed into the building with a large fire going in the fireplace. The room was a nice size and the wait staff was fast and friendly. The food was great, except that the salad was over-chilled; almost frozen actually. Highly recommend it for those interested. more
