On May 20th I accompanied my son, Antonio Simmons, Jr. for his 6 month check up at Charlotte Pediatric Dentistry. My son has been a patient there for all of his pediatric dentist history. After his check-up, the hygienist spoke with me about the fact that he has an additional cavities on 2 and 15. She went on to say that it was decided that they would turn Antonio over to an adult dentist at this time. I truly disappointed that we were not given the opportunity of have the cavities fixed at that time. On his previous 6 month visit, back in October, he had 6 cavities, which were filled on two separate visits, the last one being in December, 2014. Antonio is 17, he will not turn 18 until July, 2015. Finding a dentist that you are comfortable with is a very trying task. As I stated before, Antonio has been a patient through out all of his dental history and it really bothered me that they would let him leave their practice with obvious cavities that needed to be fixed and all I was told was to hurry and scheduled the appointment because it really needed to be fixed. I have always been very satisfied with the service and treatment that we received from Dr. Moore and his staff and this really left me feeling very disappointed that no one seemed to care about my son's teeth and he was actually just kicked out of the practice.
