The ribs at the Rendezvous are simply awesome. I have tried ribs at many other establishments and these are on top. The service is great and the sausage and cheese plate is simply the best to begin the wonderful experience of eating at the Rendezvous. more

Pitchers and Sausage and Cheese Plates 5/15/2002

So maybe it's not the best barbecue in Memphis. I still have dreams about this place after I cross the Tennessee state line. Really. Granted, I have great college memories of endless pitchers, sausage and cheese plates and the best waiters in Memphis (tell Little Robert I said hi,) but touristy or not, this is a real Memphis experience.
