Chang Eye Group

Chang eye group is one of the worst Dr groups I have ever had the misfortune to make an appointment with. They're more like a factory then a family practice. more

I have been a patient of Dr. Lushko's @ The Chang Eye Group for the past 2 years and I will say she is an excellent Doctor. She was the reason I was going there along with my family & friends. When I called to schedule with Dr. Lushko after waiting for 10 minutes the person who answered told me she is no longer there. Well I found out later in the day that Dr. Chang filed a law suit against Dr. Lushko because of a noncompete clause..... Well this just says alot about Dr. Chang's character & now I know why she left !!!! Well Dr. Lushko I hope that you see this message because I want you to know that besides myself you have many patients who care about you & will search uhtil we find you . I would like to say to Dr. Chang you have lost me as a patient as well as my family members & friends . We all agree we have no respect for you because of what you have done to a hard working individual as Dr. Lushko. more

The place is run like a factory. You're not really an individual. They have many older clients, so no matter what your age they condescending call you ""dear"". They would not release my eye prescription until they physically received the check from my insurance company, though I am not a new client. I'll go elsewhere in the future. more

Many years back my mother began feeling the affects of her diabetes and she lost vision in her left eye completely. Her right eye began to get blurry and she was diagnosed legally blind in both eyes. We were referred to Dr. Chang by one of my colleagues and waited for an appointment. 5 months after we made the appointment she had the surgery on her right eye and she came out with near perfect vision in the one eye. We were so grateful for what he has done for our family. If you want the best in the medical profession working on your vision go see Doctor Chang. more

Same as the two reviews below. I wish I had read them before I went. My insurance always covers everything. When I was done with my exam they slapped me with a $200 bill not covered by insurance and tried calling it a sitting/fitting fee and did not even give me a new perscription (which was 2 years old). I still cant see a thing. They argued that they were a ""specialty"" eye place and thats why they could charge this fee, plus i was ""saving"" money because it was a package deal that includes 6 months of contacts?! That means a $90 ""fitting fee"" and i dont know what kind of deal that is. I never agreed to it, but after my appointment it was too late. Majorly ripped off here. I argued till blue in the face. Did anyone make any progress fighting them for a refund?! Ill never go here again. more

Just as the person said below me, this place charges MANY hidden fees. They have screwed over my entire family. My father went for an exam and he was ""accidentally"" charged multiple ""Fees"" and told on his second visit that he suddenly owed $25? My sister went for a visit about her contacts and they charged her over $200 for them when her insurance says they WILL cover them! And NOW I just went for a visit and they ""accidentally"" charged my account $140 instead of the $15 copay and now they won't charged my account the right amount, they keep taking it off and putting it back on! I'm PEEVED right now and I can't wait until they're open again so I can go down there myself. more

My eye insurance pays for my exam and 6 months of contacts. Chang charges a $290 sitting fee if you want your prescription without buying contacts through them. Seriously! This is no joke, I have been fighting with them for a while. They tell you about this ""package deal"" AFTER the eye exam so you are entrapped. They charged for contacts that my insurance says should be covered. It is called a sitting fee or a fitting fee??? The best part is that they didn't fit me for my contacts, they asked for the numbers off of my contact box. They are a joke. I am already getting my insurance company involved and I have thought about getting my lawyer to write them a letter. Pros: Good magazines Cons: $$$$$290 Sitting fees??? Seriously more
