Uh, this is comfort food all the way and at great prices. I LOVE fried chicken and I must say that they know how to fry it up at Chandlers. It was my first trip there today and I got coleslaw as a side which was good too. The portions are HUGE. I can't wait to go back and try something else. more

One of Knoxville's best restaurants in my opinion I have never had a complaint say for Sunday Lunch get there early or you will have to wait for a seat Thank God for take out : ) Pros: All the food is consistently good Cons: To Small But who cares with food this good : ) more

Good Food Every Time! 7/5/2008

I have been eating at Chandler's for years and never once got bad food or service!! After my grandmother passed food like this was missing from my life till I discovered this local treasure! Good God loving people running an honest business with heavenly food!! Thank you Chandler's... Pros: Awesome food every time! Cons: Makes controling your weight difficult! more

the food was great! service was outstanding! fast and courteous! the ribs tasted like they were cooked with care! chandlers is one of a kind in knoxville, if you want home styled cooking chandlers has no peers in knoxville!!! Pros: service Cons: needs more room in restaurant, and parking! more

Every Time I'm In Knoxville, I'm at Chandler's! 12/16/2007

Honestly, this place offers the best food in Knoxville. I was introduced to the place by a friend about 4 or 5 years ago, and have visited it every time I make it there! Top notch cooking, and a very friendly staff! Pros: Great Food Cons: Bad on the arteries! :) more

A Regular Lunch Spot for Me 2/23/2006

This is a must do if you are looking for a casual local soul food spot. It's in an old Taco Bell building on the wrong side of town, but completely safe. Family owned and operated, they have things like sweet potatoes and turnips greens every day. If you don't mind leaving the ""trendy"" side of town, this place will not disappoint. more

URGENT: PLEASE STOP IN--GREAT FOOD 12/11/2004

As an out of towner, I visited this restaurant and found the owners and employees to be very pleasant and courteous. It is unusual to find a decent place that has wonderful food and great Christian music. Prices are very reasonalbe especially for the amount of food you receive. Restaurant is neat and clean and the other customers sure showed me 'southern hospitality' at its best. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any hungry traveler and on my next visit with my fellow executives our dinner stop will be at Chandler's Deli. Pros: Inexpensive, Great Music, nice gathering place more
