Customer Service after the sale is POOR 1/28/2008

Similar to the other review, we found the same situation with customer service. Did purchase an extended warranty for our Yukon but received phone call a couple of weeks later stating that we were incorrectly given a Dodge extended warranty and was caught by their auditors so a new GMAC warranty was being issued. Received paperwork and all was well until we sold the Yukon a year after purchase due to rising gas costs and desire for smaller vehicle. Went to dealership to cancel extended warranty and was met by their finance person who was unwilling to cancel with the paperwork provided stating their policy had changed although i had the complete warranty agreement in hand because he wanted additional paperwork. Other dealerships do not require any of this other than the affidavit of transter to other dealerhip. So after much discussion, we ended up speaking with his supervisor and were told it would be taken care of. We are hoping that is the case. Pros: location, salesman, cleanliness of cars Cons: staff for after the sale more

Poor Excuse for Customer Service 8/9/2006

This has turned out to be the worst vehicle buying experience of my life. When I started shopping for a new Jeep, all my friends and family warned me not to shop in Austin. They said I would find better deals and service in San Antonio or Houston. I should've listened.\r \r I ignored this advice and decided to shop Champion Auto on Research Blvd. The buying experience wasn't that bad. My salesperson was somewhat friendly and seemed to be interested in find me the vehicle that I wanted. After a long day of testing and shopping, I made the decision to buy. I signed all the paperwork and completed the sale a few days later.\r \r Once I signed on the dotted line and walked out the door, my salesperson could care less about any questions or problems I had with the vehicle. The main issue was that I had not received my warranty information in the mail as promised. I paid $1170 for a warranty and have no documentation to show for it. For over a year now, I've been given the runaround and empty promises. In a time when foreign competition and extreme gas prices are cutting into domestic auto sales, you would think a dealership like this would try extra hard to maintain healthy customer relationships. You would be wrong. Pros: local and convenient for austin residents Cons: extremely poor service after the sale more
