There seem to be a lot of places around Briar Creek selling sushi, but this one is the best. A little pricier than some of the others, but way better quality. My stomach and I ...

we decided to give this place a try after a neighbor told us this is where they first got their sushi fix when they moved into brier creek...

How about we finally find some good food in Ral.We sat @ the bar on Fri.nite & had sushi, it was awsome sweet dragon was nice & hot and my sashimi was artfully done. We also ate Thai that nite, we had drunken noodle & soft shell crab nice & spiced.They also had this drink special Saketinni goo>>>d.Man it was perfect not to old style decor not bad, but they kept there food old style. You have to try their food and their sushi.We also had a chic roll our sushi. How cool is that. Pros: everything Cons: the wait more

A Gem! 1/29/2005

Champa is my favorite Thai restaurant! It's rather inexpensive and its food quality is unsurpassed as compared to the food I've had at other local Thai places. In fact, my wife and I also think Champa has THE BEST SUSHI of any place we've been in the Triangle area!!! I can't say enough good things about Champa...it truly is a unique gem amid the monotonous suburban sprawl of chain restaurants. If you like Thai food, or sushi, Champa is a must try!!! Their Pad Thai is amazing too! The ambience wont leave you speechless, but lets face it, you dont go to a Thai restaurant for ambience, you go for the food! Great Food, a little expensive 11/29/2004

I've had two kinds of Thai noodles here Pad See U and Pad Thai and both were excellent. They were not spicy enough for me, but that can be fixed by requesting them to add more pepper. The service was EXCELLENT. Very fast, curteous and helpful. The atmosphere could benefit from a little less light and more seclusion. The prices were a bit high too, but the food was great. In general, I would highly reccomend this restaurant for really good Thai food. more

Better off elsewhere 10/20/2004

There are lots of thai restaurants in the area which is great because it means you do not have to tolerate poor service. Between the poor service, mediocre food at above average prices and the blaring frenetic music (not that I don't like loud electronic dance music - just not with my dinner), we won't go back. I am not sure about why you guys are saying that the food is not Thai, but rest to sure it is. So far we have been to all 14 rest. that claims to serve Thai food & by far this is #1. The $ is fair for location & quality plus quantity. We moved here from up north & this is the only Thai & Sushi place we are willing to pay for. Fresh ingredients and vibriante with taste.If their food is so awful why are they so packed? Pros: fresh food, awsome servers, very chic more

This is NOT Thai food! Sorry but stir fried rice I can make at home is not Thai food. Cool ambiance, poor service. Don't waste your time. Go Sawasdee over off of Capital Blvd if you want authentic Thai that rocks. more

Authentic Thai Dishes 8/26/2004

The dishes are so big that eating ""family style"" is the best option at a restaurant like this. I highly recommend the drunken noodle dish and thai spicy basil with beef. Their succulent catfish is also a great purchase if you are willing to pay a little extra. If you like coconut, their coconut cake is a savory end to all that Thai spice. I have eaten here on several occassions since they have opened. The service was a little slow at first but now that the waitstaff has more experience I have noticed a change toward the positive and truly enjoy eating there time after time. OVERPRICED! 7/22/2004

Went there on Friday night. In short, I got a not so fresh seafood dish for $18 I shouldve just gone to a Chinese restaurant for a seafood stir-fry. My entree wasnt exotic, and the ingredients all tasted frozen especially, the scallops (tasted like a wad of fishy chewy gum). Yuck! My boyfriend got a snapper dish that was way over cooked for $19 The snapper was as dry as canned tuna. Theres a lot of improvement for this restaurant For starter, put up some blinds/curtains!!! Located inside a shopping strip, its constantly facing the hot sun. We saw the staff trying to seat people at a table that wasnt shaded at all. Customers after customers refused it Kinda funny. Anyway, service was blah they actually asked us to move to another table during our meal hello? How rude! Pros: near theatre Cons: , overpriced, boring décor more

Not Worth It 7/8/2004

I agree with the other reviewers, the service is unfriendly, the food is average at best, and price is a little on the high side for the Thai food. The owner doesn't seem like he enjoys the restaurant business and takes it out on the guests. Would not visit again. more

Great lunch value 7/8/2004

I've only eaten here for lunch and I got the same dish both times: thai beef salad. Luch comes with a soup. The first time it was cocnut ginger tofu soup. The second time it was lemongrass chicken soup. Both delicious. The beef salad was consistently good on both occasions. The beef was of high quality (ribeye) and cooked perfectly so that it remained tender. The salad was piquant with lime, fish sauce, and chili paste. They cook their food nice and spicy. How rude can you be 6/14/2004

My first and last visit to this establishment. I was amazed to see how rude our waiter was only to find out later he was the owner. It goes without saying that neither I or the three other couples with me will ever give this place another chance. There are to many ""good"" places to eat in the triangle without having to go through this horrible experience. more

Overpriced and Underfed 4/30/2004

Upon entering the restaurant we should have known by the five minutes it took for anyone to notice that we were standing around waiting to be helped that this wasn't going to be the best dining experience...The service was pretty horrible, we recognized our waiter from Sushi Blues and he grunted to us that the sushi here was ""not good""...Too bad because we drove a ways to eat just that! We ordered a Thai dish (the noodle bowl) and several sushi rolls off the incredibly overpriced sushi menu, hoping that the price was indicative of quality...It was not. The Thai dish was completely flavorless-like they simply threw some noodles and oil in a bowl! The sushi tasted funny-the eel was fishy, the rice was falling apart, not enjoyable...We left in the same fashion that we came-unnoticed- and a decision was made never to return... Very Overpriced 4/27/2004

We went as a group, 9 people. And not only was the food overpriced, but they screwed up the bill, and charged us too much. If you don't mind paying a lot for your meal, then I recommend it. The service was ok, but easily could have been better. Pros: Good Parking more

Chic but not exotic 3/28/2004

It was a pleasure to find a Fareast cuisine restaurant in the park. The ambiance is chic and trendy, (although I am not so sure that the neon sushi signs could not be taken down). The braised lamb in basil sauce was good but soft shell crab in basil coconut sauce was subtly spiced. THeir dishes are a bit overpriced for the portion size. The owners are exceptionally nice and friendly. Their Pad thai tasted much better at lunch than at dinner. more

Good Food, but not Daring 3/17/2004

The restaurant is very comfortable and inviting. The wait staff is very friendly and warm. I had the spring roll appetizer (3 rolls in a very tasty and spicy ginger sauce) - they were excellent; delicate vegetables wrapped in a perfectly-fried wrapper. The entree I got was ""one pepper"" but I found it to be extremely hot, but the flavor still came through. Although not my favorite Thai restaurant, I would recommend anyone give it a try!
