They've done some wonderful things to the Chameleon now that it's under new ownership. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and I love the decor. It's quite a charming place and a wonderful addition to our North Portland neighborhood. Ms. Giselle Karam did an exceptional job with my hair. I keep getting compliments for my new look! more

Great salon in No Po 9/24/2008

I went in to the salon for a haircut and got a haircut by Madelyn who is the new owner. I hadn't seen the salon before when it was under the old ownership, but I really liked the feel of the salon, very quaint and comfortable, and I love my haircut. And big bonus points for free beer. Pros: Easy parking, good prices, free beer Cons: none that I can think of more

I can't say enough about Chameleon Salon! 9/18/2008

If you've ever been frustrated with stylists that don't seem to listen, you need to go to Chameleon Salon. I went into the salon looking for an updated style that's easy to take care of and natural looking color. The stylist really listened. She not only gave me a style that's easy to take care of, she took the time to show me how to re-create the hair style myself. And the color......its beautiful! I would also recommend the chemical conditioning treatments. It has made a huge difference in the look and feel of my hair. Talented, friendly stylists that listen...what a novel idea! Not bad 8/27/2007

I took my 8-year-old daughter in for a cut and saw Jessica. My daughter has long, thick, straight hair, so we were looking to take some weight off, without sacrificing the length. Jessica listened to us (me) and cut in some layers in the back and around the front. I thought it was ok, but my daughter loved her new cut. The total was $20 (w/out tip) and included a shampoo with the cut. Not sure if we'll go back, but they were very friendly and don't necessarily require appointments (which is always a plus). Pros: Nice atmosphere, no appts necessary. Cons: Parking more

Brett Packer is the best!!! 8/11/2007

I've been Brett's customer for several years and have followed him since he left Ziva several years ago. He is truly a very professional and talented stylist. I have a lot of thick hair that only Brett knows how to cut and color. He listens to your needs and does your hair just the way you want it. I'm so glad I found Brett again!! Pros: Professional, easy parking, no pressure to buy salon products. more

Brett Packer is now at Chameleon Salon in the Arbor Lodge neighborhood. I am so glad - he has cut my hair several times over the past year - and it is really great that he is now in a salon that is in my neighborhood AND is really easy to reach. Great customer service 6/14/2007

Chameleon Salon is a wonderful!! I was in need of something new,but wasn't sure what I wanted-they were very good to listen, very patient-wonderful color skills! My color looks incredibly natural, not at all brassy- which has been my experience in the past. more
