Best of the best. 6/3/2005

The Burbank Downtown Area has a new restaurant that's getting some well deserved publicity. Chadaka Thai (between Starbucks & Coffee Bean) has given this sleepy corporate street, a good kink in the arse. Non-Corporate Restranteurs, keep em' coming. NO MORE FUDDRUCKERS, PLEASE!!! Pros: Curries, Wine Selection, Ample Structure Parki more

Can't go wrong here 5/29/2005

Food, service, decor...all top notch. Burbank breathes a breath of fresh air with Chadaka. more

Hard to put into words. 5/24/2005

The whole experience is something that can't be put into words. It's sensory overload. All of it amazing. Try it for yourself. Pros: Cuisine, Decor, Ambiance more

Burbank Leader 5/22/2005

Read the article in The Burbank Leader, had to give it a try. I've had Thai food a number of times, I tend ti find the high heat and excessive sauces mask poor quality ingredients and improperly prepared meats. STOP! This place is different. There's love in the air, you can feel it from the moment your welcomed at the door. The service is wonderful, the food was way above incredible and the drink list was extensive. Like I said, love went into this place. Feel it for yourself. more

Great Thai Food For Over 20 Years. 5/18/2005

The former Fatburger location gets transformed into the most beautiful restaurant in the San Fernando Valley. Chadaka is the fourth restaurant from one of the first Thai families in Los Angeles. Chao Krung, opened in 1975 and was followed by Tuk-Tuk, Rambutan & the newest, Chadaka. You'll find a quality in all of their restaurants that is lacking from almost every restaurant in Los Angeles... A family that truly cares about the quality of food and service. I sound biased, I know, but I've known them for 15 years and it's been a pleasure watching this family grow. Lots of luck and love. Pros: Wonderful People, Superior Service, Amazing Food more

SIMPLE PLEASURES 5/18/2005

I brought the wife to chadaka two weeks ago Friday, and I've been back 6 times. I'd go more but my wife might think I'm cheating on her. Don't get me wrong, I love the wife, but the lemongrass chicken has got me in a frenzy. I don't ask for much, just let me have this simple pleasure. BTW, the wife doesn't know I've been back without her, so keep this review to yourself. more

Best Thai I've Had In LA 5/9/2005

Being a big fan of Thai food, I've made the trek over to Thai Town and sampled others all over town. To my surprise, the best I've found in my 8 years living in LA popped up in Burbank at Chadaka Thai. The food is really outstanding, the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is definitely much cooler (think zen) than your typical thai places. And, get this, prices are the same or cheaper than any other thai places you've visited. Definitely worth seeking out. Though I don't think the restaurant is intended to be, or is, good for kids. Food is spicy and the martinis and thai beer are plentiful. Leave the kids at home. more

Getting busy. 5/8/2005

We've been regulars since February. Fridays are usually too busy to get in so we've been coming on Saturday instead. NOW SATURDAYS ARE BUSY. I'm very happy for them, they're a really nice family...the popularity is well deserved. The bar is a great place to wait for your table. A large list of appetizers and Martinis help pass the time. more

Accept no imitations! In a city that is frankly saturated with Thai restaurants, Chadaka Thai is really the only Valley option that's worth going out of your way for. The atmosphere is mellow and relaxing, the food is tasty, light and inexpensive, the service quick and attentive, and the waitresses, for lack of a better word, are hot-- a not unimportant consideration when it comes to Thai restaurants. Also, it's a good spot for a date-- classy, but also not a wallet-buster. It's also one of the most beutifully decorated restaurants in all of Los Angeles. more

Great Time 5/6/2005

A beautiful restaurant with an accomodating staff. Try the Lamb Chops and the Lemon Grass Chicken. A large selection of Martini's are available. Check it out! Pros: Martini's, Inexpensive more

Great food and martinis in stylish room 5/6/2005

Chadaka Thai is a hip oasis in the otherwise bland stretch of corporate eats in Burbank. The menu is vast and will please even those patrons who claim not to like Thai food the BBQ chicken, salads, and fresh fish dishes will be loved by all. The Thai food fanatic will rejoice in the authentic regional dishes (the jungle curry is amazing). The pad thai is very good and the small bites are so reasonable and delicious that you could make a meal of them. The restaurant design is understated, clean and minimal but has the kind of warmth that urges you to stay and have another martini. The bar now has a full liquor license and the martini list is exotic and quite inexpensive. I've always had great service here and am well received every time I visit. This is clearly the best new restaurant in Burbank. Pros: healthy food/full bar, ultra hip room, free parking garage Cons: no complaints more

Best Thai in the city. I don't even like Thai all that much but my boyfriend is crazy about it. So I went after checking them out on Online (great website). Call me converted. I am a huge Thai fan now but only when it comes to Chadaka. So good that after my first time, I went back four times in the same week. I brought my work colleagues for lunch, my out-of-town friends for dinner, my boyfriend again for dinner and finally a birthday dinner with 10 friends. Amazing. more

Active Ride Party 5/6/2005

West to a party thrown by Actice Ride, which conveniently is located a couple doors down from Chadaka. We were so very impressed with the food and the staff. They managed a group of nearly 100 hooligans with ease. Pros: Food, Service more

Great Restaurant 5/5/2005

Haven't been here for dinner yet, but their rice bowls are addicting. Would three times a week be considered a habit? Email me if you'd like to sponser me, ""My name is Lona & I'm a rice-aholic"". Pros: Rice Bowls more

Pinch Me! 4/19/2005

I had this crazy dream that I went to Fatvurger yesterday afternoon and now it's a Thai Restaurant. I'm going back again today to make sure that I'm not losing my mind. Everything about this restaurant is to die for. The Pad Thai was delicious, the thai tea was decadent & the transformation from burger-joint to upscale-chic is making my head spin. Somebody ""Pinch Me"". Please? more

Eat up! 4/18/2005

We tried a lot of the ""small bite"" section of the menu. Happy to see someone still cares about the beers they serve. I wouldn't mind seeing a Guinness on the list, but maybe a bit heavy for Thai cuisine. Service was outstanding, the manager went out of his way, nice guy. You have to see it for yourself, the restaurant is beautiful. more

Very Nice. 4/15/2005

Thanks to all the great reviews here we gave it a shot. Thanks to everyone for the rocommendation. A great time was had by all. Steve Pros: Thai Toast, Martini's, Bartender more

Finally Some Style in Burbank 4/9/2005

This is the first restaurant in the downtown Burbank area where we were happy with decor, service, food, and drinks. Once we were inside, we couldn't tell we were in Burbank anymore - it easily could have been West Hollywood or Studio City or Santa Monica. The decor is very tasteful, subtle, and timely. The service is fantastic - very attentive, always there when you need something, but never hassling you. The food is great, with Thai classics and creative variations. It was a pleasant and surprising experience in the middle of downtown Burbank... I hope this restaurant is a sign of things to come in Burbank. Pros: Great decor, Nice bar, Tasty food more

Pure enjoyment 3/31/2005

I can't remmember the last time I left a restaurant feeling 100% satisfied. The food is first rate, the people working were bending over backwards for our table. My boss sprung for the lunch and can be quite rude at times. This didn't phase the staff. Everyone just kept smiling and went on with the service. We returned that evening without ""the boss"" to apologize and have more of their wonderful food. Thanks to all at Chadaka. Pros: Excellent Food, Superior Service more
