Century Diner Buffet

I was at this Buffet as I had heard great reviews about the food and as I was eating the cold shrimp that is on ice on my plate was a dead roach. The owner had the nerve to take away the plate very quickly when I showed the waitress the plate. The owner also asked me to pay for my food which I said I was not going to do because I found a roach in my food. EWWW!!!!!!!!! I would never ever eat at this roach buffet again. How could anyone tell a person to pay for the food after this had happened and I did not even scream ROACH!! which I should as the place was packed with people. I haven't been here since April of last year for obvious reason. However, I'm impressed this time around. Wide range of authentic chinese food, not the typical ""American style"" chinese you find outside of chinatown. The food is comparable to East and Harvest, but not quite there and not as much variety. For example the snow crab legs are not as big, but they are generous with other type of seafoods, shark fin, abalone, scallops, etc. They now serve bubble tea too, however the staff hasn't caught up to the food. Still the typical ""you know I'm under paid, so please don't expect much."" However for the price, $18 for weekend, which is half of East or Harvest, you just can't beat that. Definitely one of the best Chinese buffets in New York! They have everything you would expect, including seafood and sushi. Good quality, comparable to East, and very reasonably priced too. Pros: great food, reasonable price Cons: not the greatest location more
