I have been to Aveda salons in the past, but I just moved to the other side of the Valley and was searching for a new place. It's a good thing I didn't read this review first though because it probably would have worried me a bit! Luckily I had a very opposite experience! I was greeted by the stylist, offered beverages, magazines, given a tour, and a scalp and shoulder massage. I saw the other stylists doing the same kind of massage, so I am not sure why the previous reviewer did not get the same treatment, but I am glad I did!I got an all over color with a conditioning treatment and let me tell you, luxury city! They used some steamer contraption and my hair felt totally moisturized after the treatment.The color was amazing, but I have always loved Aveda color on me. I even got a coupon for my next visit.. The most horrible experience ever.I told the colorist Nicole my formula for my hair and not to put me under the heat .She did not care to listen and did the opposite.As a result the hair broke off and the scalp burned.At first they did not want to give me my money back.I tried to reach the owner Jim Pacifico,but he is unreachable since he lives far away in Denver and left authority to management.They do not even practice Aveda experience of free hand and scalp massage,all other Avedas do.I just recently heard they hired a bunch of students fresh out of beauty school,but they will not tell you that.Now i need to go to a doctore for this burn and loss.I do not wish this for anyone.PLEASE DO NOT RISK YOUR BEAUTY.Thank you.
