Dr. Esslinger is a FABULOUS vet. He has been our family vet for many years. He has taken care of my sister's animals (2 cats, 2 dogs) and my animals (2 cats, 2 dogs). He has also worked with our dog rescue to save the lives of literally, countless dogs. \r \r He uses his extensive experience and LOGIC to guide you to the best decisions about your pets care. I needed a place to board my 4 dogs(2 labs, 2 chihuahuas) for the hollidays. I found Central Park to be inexpensive, so I tried them. I requested for my 2 chihuahuas to be kept and fed together as this is how we do it at home. After picking them up, I found that 3 of my dogs were as happy as can be. One of my chihuahuas gets depressed when I am away from him, so I could tell that he wasn't eating well. He also does this when staying at loved ones houses, so durring our 2nd trip away, I brought canned dog food for him instead of them feeding him regular and if anything, he gained a bit of weight while I was gone. All of my dogs came home happy, especially since they had a chance to get to know the staff there. I now use them as a regular vet and a boarding facility and have no complaints about them. \r My most skittish chihuahua ened up getting hurt at home and I took him for a checkup. This place really screwed-up. First, about a month ago, the Dr. Esslinger gave my sister's dog expired shots. The only reason she found out was because when the dog got sick, she took her to another vet and that's what he diagnosed. \r \r 2nd I took my puppy there to get her spayed, and he didn't put a cone on her, because she was a female... apparently less likely to pick at her stitches. She did nothing but lay around when we brought her home, and somehow the stitches fell out. We took her back to get re-stitched up, and he said, after keeping her over night, that she had chewed herself raw. So he gave her an anesthetic and put in steel stitches. He made us pay $70 dollars for his mistake. When I came home about ten minutes later, I looked at her stitches to see how bad they were, and there was no sign that she had chewed on her self.\r \r 3rd My friend took in this black kitten because it had a hole in it's shoulder. 1. boarded 2 pets 10 days. Pets were extremely stressed out afterwards. 2. skittish needed bath (they gave her sedative) did good job bathing BUT before we brought dog over gave them phone number of regular vet had 3yr certificate rabies and that other vet had records. WIthout them calling me or anything they went ahead and gave my pet a full series of shots and tried to charge us for them. 3rd Exp: let our pet for 2 days (Saturday noon thru Monday 8 Am when they opened) They charged for 3 days! more
