I would encourage any individual who is considering a surgical procedure to look no further and seek the professional, competent, and meticulous surgical work of Dr. Elbert Cheng. You will never regret your decision!!! My story started as observed changes in my eyes each day I looked in the mirror. My eyelids drooped, and had that ""very tired"" look no matter how much makeup I used. After much soul searching, I decided to meet with several surgeons for recommendations on how to proceed. I ultimately decided to use Dr. Elbert Cheng based on his professional expertise and caring demeanor. Dr. Cheng candidly talked with me about his recommendations. He also genuinely cares about you as a patient, and takes suffficient time explaining the procedure to make you feel comfortable with your upcoming surgery. In fact, I received excellent care from the time I walked into his office and throughout my entire healing process. It's now been one year since my surgical procedure of upper/lower blepharoplasty/brow lift, and I totally feel rejuvenated. I feel more confident about my appearance now, and my friends/family continue to say how great I look. In my opinion, Dr. Cheng is a perfectionist in his surgical field, and I continue to see that everyday as I look in the mirror. To make long story short. This man so called Doctor kept encouraging me to have blepharoplasty when it wasn't necessary at all. Post surgery, the result was horrific and worst than before so either his very incompetent or tricked me into having the unnecessary surgery. He became very tempermental and defensive when I merely questioned the results. He then started to lie and deny everything. If you're reading this realize that one complaint like this should send you else where. There are many doctors who has integrity and genuine care for their patients which in this case Elbert Cheng lacks. Please do your research and stay away from this con-artist. He's a liar and a fraud. He'll try to sell you something all for the benefit to make money off of you and complete disregard for your health or your welfare. I can honestly say he's a dangerous evil man with a medical license to practice fraud. more

Dr. Elbert Cheng is a SCOUNDREL and a CON-MAN! Stay away from him! I had the most horrific experience with this so called doctor. I can only write so much in here with my experience but know that if you are reading one complaint like this should be a huge red flag for you to go else where. I don't enjoy writing anything negative but as a good citizen I felt compelled that others should know so that you're not a victim as I have. I will try to make my story short so most details will be left out. I first saw the ad in free local magazine and wanted to have my acne scar removed from my nose and Dr. E. Cheng came across as a very cordial friendly doctor and he did a great job in removing the scar on my nose but what happened there after was the nightmare for me. I merely asked him about the slight puffiness and dark circle beneath my eyes so I wanted to see if he could recommend some cream but he persistently kept saying I should get a surgery. He kept saying that it's going to get worse! He went on to say to have it done as soon as possible when I can clearly see that it wasn't that bad at all. I even had a second opinion from another plastic surgeon, and he said it's normal since I've been stressed out lately and that it's just fluid retention that it will go away gradually when I get some rest. I didn't believe this other surgeon since I didn't have any rapport with him. I went back to Dr. Cheng and told him I'd think about the surgery but he kept saying to hurry! And that he would make me look 80% better! Now, there was no reason to doubt him since he did a good job on my nose and he's a Medical Doctor. He made the surgery called blepharoplasty as though it's a routine thing and that I should get it done before I get old. So again, I thought about it and finally decided to do it. Just before the surgery when he was about to cut me open he asked me if I wanted to have the upper eyelid done as well and I said no I couldn't afford it. But my thought was why is he asking me to have that done when he should be concentrating on the actual surgery. To make long story short whatever he did now my lower eye lid looks like someone who aged 10 years. It is now 100% puffier all around the lower eyelids as though there's a permanent bags with ""U"" shape instead of just slight puffiness around the bridge of the nose like it was before surgery. I asked to him to fix this problem but he said that bleparoplasty is not recommended and that I shouldn't have had the surgery in the first place!!!?? This after he kept pushing me to have this surgery done and now that he didn't do the job to which he was paid to perform, he had the audacity to tell me that this surgery Blepharoplasty is not recommened?? When he was the one who recommended it!! He even took my 200 deposit for the revision that he said he would repair the problem, but after taking my money he started telling me it's too dangerous to do the revision surgery! So I asked for the deposit back and he wouldn't! I went back to the other plastic surgeon who recommend me against the surgery and he was shocked to see me what had happened. And that he couldn't fix it since he doesn't know what Dr. Cheng actually did. But he was shocked with his jaw opened. I realized, looking in the mirror, all Cheng did was cut me open and manipulated the muscle tissues to make it look more puffy rather than removing the fat tissue as blepharoplasty should be. I asked him again and he used the before/after photo and shrunk down to smaller size and used the bigger after photo to make a comparison as though he's insulting my intelligence. This is just one of many sneaky things he pulled on me. There were so many things that he lied to me after this horrific surgery. more

After taking a fall and obtaining a bad cut above my left eye I was referred to Dr. Elbert Cheng and the Center for Facial Rejuvenation by a friend. I made a call and they were able to see me immediately. Their staff and Dr. Cheng were extremely professional and friendly. Even though it was only a cut I was very concerned about scarring because of where the cut was. Dr. Cheng stitched it up and 6 months later I could no longer see the scar. After he was so successful stitching up the cut above my eye and leaving no scar I decided to have him remove a mole on my face that I had since birth. I had a couple of other moles removed elsewhere but had been warned that this mole could leave a scar and since it was on my face I had put it off. After the great job Dr. Cheng had done on the cut above my eye I went back to him to have the mole removed and I'm very happy I did. There is only a very slight indication that the mole was ever there but it's barely noticeable. I couldn't be happier with the results. Since then I have referred 2 people to Dr. Elbert Cheng, one for a facelift, and they both have been very happy with the results. more

i had asian double-eyelid surgery by dr. elbert cheng, since i have small eyes without a natural fold. i was curious about the procedure and what i would look like afterwards, and was always envious of models in magazines that could wear eye shadow and have those beautiful smoky eyes without looking like a raccoon! so i finally took the plunge. dr cheng came highly recommended by a friend who had her eyes done as well, and i am soooo happy with the result. i have gorgeous eyes with a fold now, and they look so natural. no one asks me about them--even my friends! the ones that did not know i was getting it done have not commented at all that my eyes look different. they just said, ""you look great! what have you been doing--new skin care regimen? new hair stylist? what is your secret?"" but i will never tell!\r \r dr cheng is very professional, competent, and compassionate. he listened to what i wanted, and then made it happen perfectly. the office staff are very efficient and nice, and all my questions were answered promptly and thoroughly. the entire experience was great, from start to finish. i have loved my experience and praised dr cheng so much that my friends have had surgery as well. definitely the best facial plastic surgeon in the entire bay area! more

I have been his patient since February 2006. He helped me to relieve anxiety I had about surgery. He is a great doctor and really listened to my desires and concerns. I had a facelift and two Fraxel Laser Treatments. All my friends admire my youthful-looking face but none of them know that I had a facelift. I am very satisfied with the results.
