The rules of the park are unreasonable, customer service and communication skills of the park staff are near nonexistent, and the park administration is almost impossible to reach by phone during normal business hours. Take the pavilions for example; they will not let you sit inside one unless you rented it even if nobody else rented it for the day. Permits are required to fish and to boat in your own boat. On the other hand if you are renting a boat, they will require you wear a filthy life jacket that hasn’t gotten sanitized in its entire existence at all times even if it’s 95 degrees out and one of the people on boat is a swimming instructor and Red Cross certified rescuer. The filthy life jackets are more of a health hazard in and of themselves than the risks they are meant to protect against. After having to wear one of those things today my 7 year old came home with a skin rush! Their dog policy is too restrictive as well, the park staff does not allow dogs near the picnic tables even if your dog is 10lbs big, there isn’t another table in a 50 yard radius and the only people at your table are your own family. Today was the third time we came to the park and we are DONE with it.
Pros: Is pretty
