Only Friends and relatives have written anything postive 4/15/2012

I want to start off by saying that the cooks, Ronny and Ma are fantastic but the rest oof the service are so bad unless you are a 10 year regular. Unless you are one of the wait satffs friends they will treat you like you are a second class citizen. Especially a bartender named Carl and his life long friend Shannon. Carl is very homophobic and constantly makes fun of me and my partner while we are in the bar but then when we are outside he comes out and says he is sorry but in rosemount thats what he has to do or his ""Regulars"" will lose respect for him.. They actually let their regulars scream obsenities while kids are present during sporting events and also let the customer serve drinks behind the bar. I will say their menu is very authentic Irish but the atmosphere ruins everything. If you want to eat here I reccomend ordering and then picking it up To GO. Do not eat or Dine in, It's an absolute highschool who's who atmosphere. Antone who has written a postive review on here is one of their friends or relatives, I promise. I wish I could give a 0 star review but the site forces me to give them 1 star. more

Great place for drinks, food, and kids are welcome 8/18/2009

We often go here for their food and well made drinks. We bring our kids along when stopping in for lunch or dinner as they like the food and atmosphere. Adult night out it is also a great place to stop as they have a good selection of beer and make great drinks. It is not a huge establishment but for its size they do a great job. They have two bars with the kitchen in the middle which allows you to rent out half the bar. I do not know about their catering but cannot imagine what went wrong for the negative review, which was defiantly not the norm for them. Pros: Great Place, good people, cold drinks, and good food Cons: Seating can be limited; need more food and drink specials more

BEST WEDDING EVER!!!! 12/28/2007

I've never posted or gave a rating to any place or restaurant, but I felt the need to tell about my wedding experience since a previous posted wedding tale gave a poor impression of their services. We had Celts not only as our liquor/beer people at our wedding, but they also did our groom's dinner the night before the wedding. They were absolutely fantastic both nights. On my wedding night, we ended up using 3 more kegs than we had told them we would need, which they were able to produce. They kept the drinks flowing all night long and were great with all of our guests, especially since they were so much fun! Our groom's dinner went smoothly with an entire half of the bar rented out. The prices were incredibly inexpensive, especially when compared to other bars in the cities. I have nothing but good things to say about their services when bartending at weddings. more

Friday night Happy Hour :) 9/12/2007

Since Friday nights are wedged between Ladies' Night and Saturday Nights...you definitely want to go to Celt's on Friday nights. Late Night Happy Hour specials ($1 a drink??? OH YEAH!) Pros: Drink specials, live DJ, spacious room Cons: Parking (But it's downtown, so there's spots around the block too) more

They Ruined My Wedding 6/27/2007

I chose to have Celts cater my wedding at the Rosemount Community Center and they were horrible. The bartenders were incompetent. They forgot to bring various necessitys such as CO2 for the kegerator. They forgot mixers such as Triple Sec, and Sweet and Sour, both very essential for making any sort of good mixed drink. The staff was rude and they overcharged us for the service they offer. A friend of mine also was married at the Rosemount Community Center and they chose Shenanigan's pub as their caterrer. They too had the same experience with Shenanigans. All I can say is stay away from Celt's and stay away from Shenanigan's unless you like paying for dissapointment. Pros: Nothing Cons: Poor Service, Rude Staff more

Rude service, can't hear yourself think 10/3/2005

Yes, the food is good. But, the staff is rude, and seem to be more into each other than the customers. I did notice that they treat those that visit often as equals. But, if you are a new visitor, they couldn't care less. The music is extremely loud, even at quiet times. When we selected songs for the ""Juke Box"", they fast forwarded our songs! Not recommended, unless it's for take-out. more

good food in a loud, smoky bar 5/26/2005

I really like the food at Celt's (they have some interesting burgers and Irish food) and they have a pretty good list of beers, but if you want to enjoy a meal and a conversation, it isn't the best. You can't escape the smoke and loud music. If only we'd get a smoking ban in Dakota County, and they'd read these reviews and see that they should turn the volume down, I'd go to Celt's a lot more often. Pros: good food, friendly service, easy parking Cons: smoke, loud music more

Not really a pub 1/7/2005

It is not an Irish pub if you can't sit down with a friend over a pint and chat. A friend anI tried to do this but were blasted away by the huge sound system. Get rid of the loud rock over big speakers and bring in some fiddle players! Pros: Easy access more

'Bout Dang Time! 10/29/2002

I am happy to see that, if I want to grab a pint and some chips I don't have to haul up north of the River any more. They do a good job with the bar and the grille, but need to get some good traditional music going. For a town that is proud of it's Irish heritage, there isn't a single place to listen to good trad. Irish music anywhere. Also, the music they do pump in is a little too loud at times. ""Pubs"" are Public Houses. You can't have a conversation and gossip while yelling over Skynard or Pearl Jam. Pros: Food, Bar, Locale Cons: Too Loud At Times, Needs to be more trad more
