Would Not Recommend 7/18/2013

With the exception of one person the staff at this veterinary was excellent. The exception is Dr. Olkowski. We had our pet rabbit in there and it wasn't that Dr. Olkowski didn't know what he was talking about, it was how he presented the bad news to us. Our pet was like a member of our family and it would have been nice if they doctor had some empathy, but instead he sort of chuckled saying over and over "he's going to die". The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I would never recommend CedarCrest to anyone given my experience. more

Perfection in Fishersville, VA 4/26/2011

I have an 8 year old dog, Buddy and right now we are trying to find out what the problem is with him. Our doctor, Dr. Bejar, has been wonderful and caring and I could never ask for a better place to have Buddy treated. The staff is excellent and helpful. I have dealt mostly with Stacie who is so very helpful at any time. I cannot rave about Cedarcrest enough! If anyone wants wonderful treatment for their pet, then this is the place to come! more

Finally found a great vet after a long search 4/24/2010

I can't say enough good things about the staff and vets at Cedar Crest. They explain everything to me thoroughly without making me feel stupid, are extremely compassionate and very knowledgeable. Personally, I don't chose a vet based on cost, I just want the best for my dogs. If you're looking for an outstanding vet and kennel, this is the place. more

Olkowski William Dvm - Cedar Crest is WORLD CLASS!!!!!!!!!! 11/20/2009

Our family ( 2 cats 17+18 yrs.old, 2 dogs 15+3 yrs. old, 2 birds 3 yrs. old) have been with Cedarcrest Animal Clinic since they opened in 1990. I would not take them any where else. The staff has always been genuinely friendly and caring even with lost of my 17 yr old cat and 15 yr old dog. I do use the boarding faciltys they are great, you get your moneys worth and peace of mind, that are in the best of care. But I can't wait for them to to do elaborated faciltys for cats. I highly recommend them, if you pets are family more

Another dissatisfied customer! 5/26/2009

When I was evaluating this business as a provider of weekend boarding care for my dog I was given pricing for their services. I was informed that a chroma vaccination was required for my dog to stay with them. I asked the price of this vaccination and was told approximately $11.00. I agreed that Cedar Crest could administer this vaccination during her stay at the kennel. Based on the terms agreed during the phone discussion I made a reservation for my dog to stay with Cedar Crest. When I arrived at Cedar Crest with my dog on the day of my departure for vacation I was informed for the first time that an additional charge of $44.00 for a comprehensive exam would be required. This was not mentioned when I was checking prices before making the reservation. I was on the way to the airport so I could hardly change my mind and choose another kennel at that time. During my vacation I was called by a person at this clinic for what amounted to a sales call. They interrupted my vacation to try to more

Best care in the area !! 8/26/2008

I'm a retired health care provider. I have had pets my entire life. I have lived in Europe, Calif and points inbetween ( thanks to the US Military). Today we have four dogs and one cat. Cedar Crest has been provining care for all our pets for a few years now. Before a trip to Europe, one of our dogs had an intermittent bowel obstruction. I left her with Dr. O with complete confidence in the care he and his staff would provide. Just recently Dr. O did a knee reconstruction on another of our dogs. I keep going back because Cedar Crest is the best care I have seen to date!\r \r Laura, Kay, the Techs, Dr. O, Dr. Waller, and a third Dr whose name I can't recall, have been supurb. The facility is clean. Appointments have always been prompt and professional. A bit pricy but well worth it.\r \r I am not a Veteranarian, but if I were, the practice at Cedar Crest is the kind of practice I would want for my patients!\r \r Jim P more

The Best and only the Best 7/1/2008

I have 2 ferrets Ashton and Scarlott. The Vet here is the greatest. People need to know that when you have a pet it does cost money to keep them healthy. Dr O saved my Ashton from alot of pain and I trust him alot. The staff is wonderful and will aways help you when you need them. I will drive 45 mins to know that my pet is in good hands. more

Cedarcrest is one of the best animal facilities I have found in Virginia. I am a secret shopper and have viewed the facilities in the area. To my surprise when you walk into the kennels there is no trace that dogs are housed there. The other detail I found to be amazing is that the only cleaning agent I smelled was a pleasant smell of lemon not bleach like most of the others. The young lady that gave me a tour was very nice and answered all my questions, she explained this in detail throughout the tour. This place even has a special room for guest that I would say were over spoiled, it had walls and baby beds plus she said they were tucked in at night. I found the front office to be polite and eager to help. If I owned any pets this would be the place for me. I highly recommend Cedarcrest animal clinic to anyone looking and to anyone going somewhere else. If you don't believe me go take a tour they are more than willing to show you around. more

Fantastic Care & Fabulous Staff!! Dr. O Rocks! 4/10/2008

My cats, dogs and birds have relied on the care and expertise of this practice for many years. I also use Cedar Crest for my kenneling needs when traveling. I live over an hour away, but still choose Cedar Crest -- worth the extra time and gas! I highly reccommend them. more

Cedar Crest is Great! 4/6/2008

I've been taking my dog to cedarcrest ever since I got her. The staff couldn't be nicer. Yes, it is expensive, but you get what you pay for. I have never been talked into ordering something for my dog I didn't want, they suggest it all the time, but I do not see the need so I say no. It's your choice. They keep trying to get me to let them clean her teeth...not happening, I have had dogs all my life and never took one to the dentist, but their offering it doesn't make them bad. The main thing that sells me on Cedarcrest is this; my dog can't talk and tell me if there is a problem, so I have to watch how she behaves when we are there. She LOVES the place, if she hears the name, she perks up and wags her tail, when we pass the street, she looks at me like HEY, aren't we stopping. She runs in, and greets the staff all excited. That is not how a dog acts at a bad facility. more

Unsatisfied Customer 2/12/2008

I was unimpressed with the staff, location and travel. First and foremost, driving up a gravel incline is less than desirable in adverse weather conditions. I was halfway greeted by someone who looked filthy and unkempt, and then to exacerbate the situation, I could barely understand what she was asking or requiring. Finally, I am placed in a 'room' to wait half an hour for a relatively simple check-up, which I was quoted a price of $40 and ended up paying over $250--the physician coerced me into believing that I needed several unnecessary blood tests--her manner was unaccomodating and quite rude. Overall, I would not recommend this facility. Following my appointment, I phoned around to various practices within Augusta County and found this particular clinic to be the most expensive--no deal here. more
