Best

My family and I royally enjoyed ourselves at the park and also at Hotel Breakers. We loved the feeling of the place with all the old pics on the walls. Our experience in August...

Worst

For about 20 years I make an annual trip and this was the worst one ever. I was there in the middle of the week, and it is the 2nd year in a row that they don't have Top Thrill D...

We Love This Park 6/19/2005

This park is great. I have been going since I was a kid and never tire of it. Halloweekends are AWESOME!! Someone was angry about the size restrictions (which are plainly stated on the parks website). These size restrictions are for people's safety. If you can's securely fasten the safety devices the ride becomes too dangerous. I am a larger woman (about 215, size 18-20) and have never had a problem, even when I was larger I was able to ride anything I wanted. Pros: Fries & Fried Cheese, Rides, Shows Cons: Unpredictable Weather more

Favorite place to go during the summer 6/19/2005

Every summer for my birthday, one of my girlfriends and I spend the day at Cedar Point. It's so amazingly fun - no other amusement park can compare. Wicked Twister is amazing, and Raptor, and Magnum, and Millenium Force.. haha, I guess those are my four favorites, so don't miss them. Also, be sure to take advantage of their fast passes - they're free! more

Overall, A Great Place To Visit 6/19/2005

If you're the type that likes to ride, then Cedar Point is definitely the park for you. However, this statement comes with a caveat. If you're not 5'5"" 110 pounds and wear a size 0, don't bother going because you won't be able to ride everything. My wife and I just went to Cedar Point last week and were treated downright rudely by some of the staff since we're both a bit overweight. On one of the rides, the operator went as far as to stick her hand into the restraint so it wouldn't snap. Overall however, we enjoyed our stay. The entertainment is second to none and there's tons of things to see and do. If you fit into their ""ideal"" you'll have the time of your life. If not, go at your own risk. Pros: tons to do and see, thrills galore Cons: long lines, a bit pricey, weather more

The Best of the Best! 6/19/2005

Cedar Point is the best amusement park in the world. The 16 coasters and many rides could help an adult find their inner kid. It is so nice in the summer. But, Saturdays in June-August can be crowded. Pros: good rides, french fries, super hotels Cons: expensive, crowded sometimes, annoying people more

You've got to go there at least once this summer! 5/13/2005

We make a least one trip a year from the Detroit area. We meet our in-laws from Rochester NY, and have a GREAT time. When we adults have had enough of the rides we retreat to the pool bar in the water park. (It's under one of the roller coasters, and on a warm sunny day, you can't beat it.) The only negative is that the lines for rides can get LONG. Be patient, enjoy the jouney and you'll be OK. It's a great place, DON'T miss out! Pros: Great roller coasters, Unique location, Easy to get to Cons: Long lines at times more

Cedar Point-Fun for Everyone 5/13/2005

I have gone to Cedar Point every year since I was a little kid. I have never known them to discriminate against anyone because of their size. If there is height restriction it's for your own safety. The park has great food, clean restrooms, and friendly people there. It's no more expensive than any other park. I highly recommend coming to ""The Point"". You won't be disappointed. Pros: Best french fries, Beach, Resorts Cons: Ohio weather more

Have been going for 35 years! 5/12/2005

I have been going to Cedar Point for 35 years now and I still never get tired of it. From the days of funhouses, beachhouses and only 2 roller coasters, Cedar Point has turned into a park that never ceases to amaze. Very child, handicapped and older person friendly, there is something for everyone. Add the new Water Park and Challenge Park its giving big name parks a run for their money. Crowds are abundant so don't expect to do everything in one day. Yes, some lines can be long but always worth the wait. I now take my 3 daughters, and the family tradition continues (just wish my stomach did too) I will always be a kid at heart at Cedar Point even when Im 90. Pros: 68 Rides, Something for all age, ROLLER COASTERS Cons: Crowds, Surprise thunderstorm, coming off the lake more

Cedar Point Rocks!! 5/12/2005

We've been to many parks, but Cedar Point has been the best one by far. It's definately something you'd want to do over a 2 or 3 day period if you want to do it all. We're adrenaline junkies so we mainly stuck to the rides. Patience is a must, but it's well worth the wait. Pros: great rides Cons: long lines more

Nobody beats Cedar Point for roller coasters 5/8/2005

Note Cedar Point has four coasters that at one point in time where the tallest in the world and has over 65 rides. I have a 4 and 7 year old, so I generally have to pass on the big rides, but they have tons of rides for the little ones. Get the $10 dollar discount from local grocery stores. Got the ""Joe Cool pass"" which lets me into park a half hour before everybody else. Camp Snoopy is great for kids. One negative is the park won't let you take stuffed animals, bags or purses on rides and won't you lay them near the exit. They recommend the lockers which are too small or pay $15 for someone to watch them up front. So I recommend playing games at the end of trip and don't carry anything. Don't forget to hit the beach, ride a jet ski or swim. Pros: 2 coasters in top 10, Joe Cool Pass, Great views of Lake Cons: Closes too early, No carry ons, May Flies in June more

wonderful 5/7/2005

Do not beleive anyone who tells you that Cedar Point is anyitng but the best park in the country. The roller coasters are the best and there are mroe of them. The official rating system really missed the mark. Pros: roller coasters, great enviroment, best family fun Cons: not a thing more

The Amazement Park! 4/15/2005

This is by far the best amusement park in the world. Absolutely NOTHING beats going 120 mph in 4 seconds, it's exhilirating! With 16 roller coasters, 68 rides, and great food, it truly is the ideal park, with things to do for everyone. (4 of the top 10 coasters in the world are here!) Pros: great roller coasters, affordable, on-site hotels more

Great place to stay and play. 4/15/2005

I've been to almost every amusment park east of the Mississippi. (And some west of it.) This is by far the best run park I've ever been to. I've scanned most of the reviews and noted that the people that gave it a bad review tried to do the park in a limited amount of time. If you're doing this park I'd reccommend spending at least three days there in order to experience everything. The comment about them adding new rides every year? DUH! Yes the lines are long and they do throw you out for line jumping but any park worth going to would do the same. SO BE PATIENT AND ENJOY THE PARK DON'T TRY TO RUN THROUGH IT! Pros: Extreemely clean, well run, friendly people more

AWESOME FUN...also in re: to 7/19/04 review 4/15/2005

FYI...my husband and older son are BOTH 6'5"" and 260 & 200 lbs. respectively. there was NO problem with ANY of the rides or facilities in re: to being user friendly...we rode them ALL!!!...there is no possible way that ""juliegram"" could have even gone to the park to make such remarks (only possible if you're SHORT & MORBIDLY OBESE)...this is actually the best place anyone could take their family for an awesome time...this honest opinion coming from a 40 ish couple (coaster fanatics from WAY back) of 2 boys... Pros: coasters, staff helpfullness, best on the PLANET Cons: none, none, none more

WOW 4/15/2005

This park is absolutely awesome; that is all there is to it. It has rides for everyone even if they do not like roller coasters. Also, commenting on an earlier review, my father is 6'5"" tall and weighs about 275lbs and he fit into every ride he wanted to, contrary to the past comments Pros: Roller coasters great, rides for everyone, open late more

The best coaster rides in the world, bar none! 4/15/2005

Although some might say that there are discrimanatory measures used in weight and height limits, I have not seen such activity and I have been going to Cedar Point for years. Although I have seen some people not be able to get into their seats (some certain rides that require a tight fit) do to being over weight, that is not the parks fault. My sudjestion would be that they conform to rides more suited for their specific needs.....don'nt blame the park. I have been to several amusement parks from the East coast to the West coast, but Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio in my opinion is the best for the coaster ride of your life. more

Cedar Point is the #1 Park in USA 4/14/2005

Having been to many amusement parks, Cedar Point rates #1 in the USA, HANDS DOWN. It has the BEST coasters, BEST attractions for all ages and the BEST value for the money. (Juliegram's review is INCORRECT - husband is 6'4"" and 225#, fits JUST FINE in ALL rides. Only extremely overweight or tall will have problems w/shoulder harness.) RESORT GUESTS GET TO ENTER THE PARK 1/2 HOUR EARLIER THAN THE STANDARD PARK OPENING TIME with 2 BIG coasters open early for resort guests!! EXCELLENT laser light show and fireworks! Don't miss Halloweekends in October....LOTS of fun!! Wonderful landscaping, very clean. CP resorts have many room prices and CAMP SNOOPY is wonderful for little ones! Pros: BEST COASTERS, Lots of food choices, GREAT for ALL ages Cons: Long lines more

Cedar Point-A Must See This Summer!! 4/14/2005

There is a reason this park has recieved the Golden Ticket award for Best Amusment Park on several occasions in recent years. As an employee of the park, I can tell you that this place is simply amazing. Nowhere in the world will you find a better selection of thrill rides, record breaking rollercoasters, and family attractions. Some complain that the park is unkind to ""guests of exceptional size""(if you are taller than 6'2', you may not ride some of the rides), but this is simply for safety reasons. If you would like to fall out of a rollercoaster, visit one of our nation's other parks. Besides, all regulations for riding the rides are specificly stated on the park's web page. Pros: Best Rides ANYWHERE, Beautiful Atmosphere, Great Hotels Cons: Expensive, Lines(Not a surprise), Tons of People more

For the Love of Roller Coasters 7/13/2004

Cedar Point is the absolute BEST place for those who love roller coasters. I live two hours away and go there at least twice a year. Yes, the lines may be long on the weekends, but take a day off work during the week and the lines are much shorter. Even if you don't, the thrill of the rides make it worth the wait. They have great DJ booths in some of the lines, and water misters in most of them. This makes the wait alot more enjoyable. Believe me, I would not make this long drive if it wasn't worth it. BTW: They also have 'Freeway' which lets you jump the line near the entrance of some rides. Pros: Roller Coasters!!, Elephant ears, DJ booths more

CedarPoint is Awesome 7/12/2004

It's best to go during the week when the kids are still in school. Otherwise there are a bunch of kids running around crowding up the place. The roller coasters are so awesome. The lines stink but it's well worth the wait. This is the best amusement park ever. It's just too bad that everyone else agrees and decides to go there on the same day that I do. Pros: roller coasters, roller coasters, roller coasters Cons: , too many people, waiting more

Worst park experience-Ever 7/12/2004

For about 20 years I make an annual trip and this was the worst one ever. I was there in the middle of the week, and it is the 2nd year in a row that they don't have Top Thrill Dragster even operational. I was only there 8 hours and estimate at least 5 1/2 hours were spent standing in lines, and only was able to ride 4 rides in that time. Not going back any time soon. Pros: Good Rides, Good Staff Cons: , Lines too long, Not@resort= 2nd class more
