Cd Island

This music store is awesome. I brought old cd's that i don't listen to anymore and they gave me top price for them. I couldn't believe the selection they had in music and Dvd's. It's great not having to drive all the way to the mall for a cd or movie. The prices were awesome! I got a sealed cd that is usually 24.99 at best-buy, instead Cd Island had it for 9.99 brand new. What a deal... I highly recommend this store. more

I went to CD Island out of the blue one day to see if they had anything good. It was always the little CD store that was right around the corner, but that I never went to. So I go in, and realize that their prices are absolutely ridiculous. They have these strangely high prices on items that other stores usually sell for dirt cheap. I really don't understand their method of pricing. I'm all for helping out local businesses in their epic fight against the Wal-Marts of the world, but this place is a bit too much for me. more

CD Island has a huge selection of new and used movies and music. Their new prices are fair (a little more than chain stores, but sometimes it feels good to help a local business out) but their used prices are just absurd. Last week, I went in looking for a specific DVD and found that they had 4 used copies of it available. My first complaint is that all 4 had varying prices in a $6 range -- but my second complaint is that all 4 were still priced HIGHER than a new copy would cost me at almost any other store. Needless to say, I left without making a purchase. The prices were much more competitive when this store used to be a part of the national CD Warehouse chain, now it is truly a last resort when I am searching for a CD or DVD. more
