Due to a very bad experience at a young age I have a serious fear of visiting the dentist. I have made many attempts over the years but have never found a place that makes me feel at ease. Until now, that is. Dr. Causey and his staff specialize in people with these fears. They are the most understanding, compassionate people you could ever meet. Each and every one of them took the time out of their busy day to help calm me, explain in detail the upcoming procedure, and made conversation to distract me without once making me feel silly or foolish for being afraid. Dr. Causey himself is an INCREDIBLY qualified DMD. His number one priority is giving you all the information you need to make a good decision about your dental health. He focuses on building personal relationships with his patients, a quality that I previously believed was a thing of the past. He even let me know that the best plan for me was to bypass some very expensive procedures as they might not have a great success rate (procedures that would have made him LOTS of money). As for the negative review below, I believe that some people will never be satisfied. When I visited Dr. Causey's office I was made aware that the quoted fee was just that, a quote. I signed a form stating that insurance generally covered about 50% of the procedure but that should they fail to pay their portion (which would be an issue I would take up with my insurance company, not the doctor) then I would be responsible for the bill. I considered this pretty typical in the healthcare setting. Not to mention that $700 is a deal for a partial denture! Sounds like Dr. Causey was offering to do this gentleman a favor by cutting the costs and all he got was a negative review = ) I am so ecstatic that I no longer have to fear the dentist. i recently broke my partial , looking for a dentist i chose the above all seemed nice i was on a budget the doctor told me about the new partials that would last longer i explained i did not have a lot of money and i had delta dental plan he said the partials would cost $700 dollars , i said i cant afford that, so a helper went and checked and told me that delta dental would pay 50% i said okay ill give you $400.00 had to wait 3 weeks, on day before appointment i was called and told by a seemingly pleasant receptionist that delta dental would not cover replacements, well i was told they would by them in the office, after a heated arguement the receptionist who is not who she pretends to be, told me i had to pay the 387. dollars due, i feel i was told something in error and they should at least meet me halfway, they wont they cancelled my appointment, so i called back and said begrudgingly ill pay so now i wont have another appointment for 2 weeks, They are nasty and wolves in sheeps clothing in my opinion! more

We drive 25 minutes each way so that all five of us can see Dr. Causey. His office is calm, the wait is short and the people always seem glad to see us. We've also had some special situations they have addressed with compassion. We have older adopted kids who were skittish about dentists, and I am petrified of going to the dentist, but Dr. Causey and his staff have helped us through our fears. Pros: easy parking, calm office, short wait, close to Harbison shopping / Midlands Tech campus Cons: not near enough to my house, downtown. more

Dr. Causey is very knowledgable about all aspects of dentristry. He does a complete exam and really takes time to inform you about your dental concerns.
