I dealt with both Dr. Gawley and Dr. Goode and they were both warm and caring with my cats. Yes, busy, but definitely caring for my two cats. Both had long term health problems--M...

I took my cat to the Cat Clinic at Canyon Park to get him microchipped. Pros: very reasonable fees ($40), front desk woman was very nice, the cats wandering around the office ...

I have had wonderful experiences with both Dr Good and Dr Gawley. They have helped me with feral kittens and adults, as well as my own pets, including a FIV+ cat. They are very kind and attentive. I have been very happy with the quality of care the animals have received. I also like that they provide a clinic home for elderly or special needs cats. It's not speedy, but it is quality, and I'd prefer that over a fast visit.\r \r I too have had several negative experiences with the front desk person. Don't let her get to you, or turn you away from the clinic. It's well worth the wait. more

Compassion and Honesty 3/4/2008

I found Dr. Good to be an excellent, compassionate vet. My cat was already quite sick when I took her there because the previous vet was really more in tune with dogs. Dr. Good was able to give my cat an extra six or eight months of quality life, while the previous vet admitted she would have operated -- which would have led to death since the cat was anemic and wouldn't have ever recovered from the surgery. I understand the other comments about the front desk - mostly. They could use two on duty at all times, but one person does it all. They aren't consistent about returning calls, and sometimes you have to wait for the excellent care your pet receives. But it IS excellent care. And when it's time to let them go, you get good, honest advice and compassionate help. I highly recommend them. more

Great vets, reasonable prices, but front staff aren't great 2/20/2008

I have to agree, the front desk lady is abrupt and her phone skills are apalling, I saw her "lose" four phone calls while I was standing at the counter... however, Dr. Good is excellent and even does phone consults, the prescriptions and cost of care a re reasonable, and though they do not take walk ins even for urgent care, they will try to fit you into their first available spot. We were satisfied (even though we were frustrated with the desk staff) and we will continue to use them. Pros: Care, cost, hours of operation Cons: front desk staff irritating more

Terrible customer service 10/24/2007

The first time you do anything, you hope to have a good experience. Our first time taking our kitten to the vet was challenging. Cat Clinic was conveniently located and specialized in cat's.... a logical place to take our baby. The Vets there are incredibly knowlegdeable, but they need to do something about their customer service personnel up front. Everytime I go there, I have to sit and wait for 10-20 minutes before I am acknowledged!! And its not just me, others are waiting patiently while the front desk help is tied up on the phone, arguing with phone customers. One lady, the blonde with glasses (pleasantly plump) must have rough days... everday. She is always short with her words and listens to nothing you say. If you are researching vets for a pleasant experience, I wouldn't recommend Cat Clinic. We will not be taking our cat there again. Comparison - Eating at a small crowded restaurant with pretty good food, but you have to wait 20 or so minutes to be helped... and when you are, your treated like your a nobody.... just another customer. more

Best Vets -Caring Staff 9/6/2007

Its true, they are not the most efficient clinic in town. However, I feel in good hands when I take my cats there. I called when I had to find a shelter for one cat and the reception desk was most helpful and even gave me tips on how to ease the seperation for the other cat. I am glad to have found them! more

Best Vets, Great Customer Service 8/30/2007

Drs. Good and Gawley are extremely knowledgeable and treat the cats very well. I love how they talk to the cats and allow abandoned cats live there until they are adopted. If not adopted the Cat Clinic is their home. They do what is best for my cats, and tell me straight up what I need to do or not do. I currently have an old, sick cat, and everyone there treats her extremely well. I don't want to take my cats anywhere else. I highly recommend The Cat Clinic. Pros: Service, Just Deal With Cats, Loving Treatment Cons: None more

Horrible!!!!!!! 7/30/2007

I would never recommend anyone to take there cats here. My cat had a leg fracture. The lady at the front counter is always in a sour pissssy mood, and on the second splint change, she ended up with a huge swollen foot. I was a little suprised of no discharge instructions either. The Dr was not sympathetic and said to me "It just happens". The new vet I took my cat too said he never has to much of the foot sticking out of the bandage, so that the paw will not swell. Just the tip toes sticking out of the wrap. Our cat's foot was swollen twice the size, and I had to take her to the ER Vet. Even when my new vet called the Cat Clinic in Bothell today for records, they said the front counter lady was very rude. Never take your cats here. The customer service suks and this tells me how they care for animals. Customer/Pet service is number one and this clinic rates zero on my list. Pros: ? Cons: Lots more

Vets are wonderful, Front desk staff is awful! 7/26/2007

Lucky for the Cat Clinic really all I care about is getting my cat the best care I can. Dr. Good is my cats primary vetrinarian but he has seen the other vet on occasion and she is very helpful and bright as well. I do have to say however, if you are the type of person who likes to be treated kindly and with respect avoid the front desk staff. When my cat was having a health concern last year they were extremely rude and agumentative with me. Several times claiming that I was lying about my cats lifestyle and behavior. I was pretty shocked about the incident. To end on a positive note though I do have to reiterate that the vets are well worth it! more

Great vet! 7/20/2007

Dr. Gawley is wonderful. She is truly knowledgeable about cats and has helped me many times with rescues that I bring in. I drive from Renton to Bothell and even though the traffic is usually bad, it's worth the trip. I cannot speak highly enough of this clinic. I should also mention that there are rescued cats that call the clinic home as well as cats up for adoption. This clinic truly cares about cats. Pros: very knowledgable, friendly staff Cons: none! more

Vets Go the Extra Mile 4/13/2006

I brought my older cat, with chronic bronchitis, here when another vet had told me to bring him in when I was ready to have him put to sleep. Dr. Gawley figured out some innovative treatment plans including an asthma inhaler and a nebulizer, and six years later, Pongo is still enjoying life!\r \r This is not always the most efficient of clinics. They take their time making sure they have analyzed eachsituation properly, which sometimes means some waiting. However, their office is filled with elderly and disabled cats who now make their home there. I consider it a privilege to have such a caring and involved pair of vets as Drs. Gawley and Good, and a little patience on my part has been well rewarded. PROS: Caring, skilled vets who foster neglected animals on premises CONS: Some waiting, at times--no biggie more

Best Vet 2/21/2006

Patricia Gawley is without a doubt, in my experience, the best vet I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I first met her when she did dogs as well as cats, and she was the one that spent the time to determine the problems at hand as well as the best method of cure. Pros: Knowledgeable, Professional, Friendly more

Dr. Good is very Good! 1/17/2006

The Cat Clinic was recommended to us after trying two other vets in the area. Our cat was a real scaredy cat and Dr. Good was so gentle and kind with her. She took the time to get to know our cat, and I always felt like she cared about our kitty as much as we did. Our cat recently passed away and my husband and I were so touched to receive a hand-written note from Dr. Good. These people know and love cats! more

Good Quality Care 2/21/2005

I took my two kittens here when they needed to be fixed, a male and a female. Specializing only in Cats, they seemed to take great care with my babies. The female, who's surgery is more complicated, was kept overnight. This is something that a friend, who is a vet assistant, says should be done more. However, when we received the bill it was higher than we were told. The surgeries were very affordable when comparing prices and the quality of care, but they gave additional vaccinations without telling us beforehand. We were told by another vet that are vaccinations were up to date. Just double check what there plans are, but otherwise, great! more
