Castle Hill Farm

We drove out to the winery last week and they said they were closed... Would open Saturday. Returned today to locked doors AGAIN. According to their website we were there during business hours. We are local but won't be driving 30 min out of our way for a locked door again more

My son had his wedding at Castle Hill Winery. I feel compelled to comment on this wonderful venue. I was very concerned about every detail of my sons wedding as I did not have much say in what was taking place. I was relieved when I met Kim, the owner of Castle Hill as she takes charge and makes suggestions and is very concerned about the details. We booked the venue a year in advance and visited the venue several times over the course of the year with our D.j. and cake person. Kim and her staff were always available, pleasant and helpful. Kim was accessible by phone, text or email the entire year. I could text her with a question that just popped in my head and she immediately responded. This was huge to me as I didn't expect a venue to be that accommodating. The venue is beautiful and well maintained and they are constantly changing the decor there. The grounds were beautiful, freshly mowed, and the gardens were beautiful. Our guests loved the wine and we had numerous complements on the beauty of this venue. Perfect place for a wedding!!! I am one Happy Mother-in-law!!! more

I just wanted to publicly thank The staff and Kim for everything. Our wedding was so special. I am so glad that we chose this venue. I cannot believe the post below where a minister is trying to publicly bash another human being. WOW!! A little common sense too. park in the parking lot not in someones front yard, especially after it has been raining. !!! Some people just don't care about tearing up others property I guess. We hard a wonderful time and I highly recommend this venue to any one who is considering a venue for any type of party or wedding. The staff was super and very professional. Very prompt in returning phone calls and emails which was very important to me. The place was so well kept and beautiful. The floors inside are special. Outside gardens and beautiful views. Kim was really great to work with and the bartenders were a lot of fun. The wine was great.!! We were able to open all of the french doors that night and the big doors that are in the banquet room too. Absolutely beautiful. They have Christmas lights in all of the outside trees so its beautiful with the doors open. GREAT TIMES, GREAT PLACE!! more

First the location is nice and can accomodate a unique experience. My issues are not with the location, but merely the Staff(Kim). My cousin got married there in October 2011. I was the Officiant(ordained minister). On the day of the rehersal we all parked up near the main reception hall. (There was no clear signage on where to park and parking was limited) It had rained the day before so the grounds all around the sites were very damp and muddy. Some of us parked along the grass line. I went out to get something out of my car and Kim very abraisively confronted me in the parking lot She said 'You ruined the bride's wedding, I cant believe you parked in the grass"" mind you, my car was the last of 10 cars in the line. I simply was parking where I thought we were supposed to park. She was very hostile. I can totally understand not wanting her property damaged. She could have very easily said ""I'm sorry this is not where we park, would you mind moving your cars to the bottom of the hill where the parking lot is? So I suggested maybe she put a signup next time. She said"" Well I thought it was obvious you shouldn't park here, did you not see the parking lotwhen you came in?."" (in the dark with no lighting or signage, um No.) Very condescending and rude. I'm not a confrontational or angry person, but I wanted to punch the lady. I was shaking mad. I did not want to upset the bride so I calmed down enough to let the bride know that Kim wanted us to move our cars, I did not tell her how rude the lady was or how angry I was. Then Kim came in right after me and told the bride that I was LYING!!!! Are you kidding me???? It's my understanding that there were others issues with her too, but I can only speak to my experience. This would prob be fine for an event, but I would not host such an important day as a wedding there. You don't know if you'll get Dr. Jekylll or Mr. Hyde more

My fraternity had their formal here two years ago and we had a blast and My wife and I had our wedding at Castle Hill three weeks ago. Everyone is still talking about it. Every thing was great. My fiance was nervous about all of the details of planning the wedding. They took care of everything for us except the cake and her dress. Really awesome. Enjoyed the wine too and I usually don't drink wine! more

I booked my up coming wedding at a different winery. After months of not getting return phone calls i panicked and pulled out of that winery. I went to Castle Hill and booked my wedding. I am so glad that I did. It does not matter how many questions I ask or how often. I get immediate responses from this staff. I work with Kim most of the time and she is so helpful. Booking with this winery has taken the stress out of my wedding planning. I have been able to take my florist and DJ out there hassle free to show them my venue. I recently took my entire wedding there for a wine tasting. It was so much fun. We had a candlelit wine tasting complete with food pairings. My bridal party really enjoyed the night. All of the wines are great for our wedding. I didn't feel like I had to choose one or two wines to be served, they were all so good. I cannot wait until my wedding this summer everything is going so smoothly. I know it will be wonderful. !! Bride to be!! more

Love this place. I had my wedding there two years ago and it was fantastic. The owners were so accommodating that we had my baby shower there this past summer. Now we have started a family tradition of buying our Christmas trees from them also. The wine is great especially the apple and Cabernet. I bought several gift baskets made up in antique boxes. Very unique. I have had two contracts with them. There are no hidden charges on their contracts and the contract is very simple with all of the costs laid out to the penny. I think these people work twenty four hours a day to make everything special for each group that comes in there. I would recommend this place to any one for their wedding or any type of event, The place is very picturesque too. Great views! more

Couldn't be more disappointed with this place. I would not recommend going there for wine tasting or to host an event (ie wedding). more

Extremely disappointed in taste of wine. Get all the details before you sign a contract. Pros: facility could be useful Cons: wine is not worth the price more
