Try something new 5/18/2007

The food here was good, although my husband found the chicken too salty. the portions were huge. i also liked the belly dancer, she got everyone up to practice. it wasn't very crowded, but it was in the middle of the week. Pros: Ambience Cons: low sitting tables can be an adjustment. more

Great food, great atmosphere, great belly dancing. 10/24/2006

My husband and I loved this place. It had great food. This is a place where it is customary to eat with your fingers and not utensils. They do provide utensils, though. We took the fun route and ate with our fingers. They wash your hands before your meal at your table (and after your meal if you eat with your fingers). The entertainment was belly dancing. Its fun for men and women to watch. I would recommend this to everyone who likes to try new things, or likes exotic foods. A lot of fun if you participate and get into the experience! Pros: Great Atmosphere, Great food, Great service Cons: Not convenient parking. Not a place for kids. more

Ugh!! 9/12/2004

I absolutely agree! This place is soooooo overpriced! I paid $19 for 4 pieces of steamed veggies and plain coucous. It was not special by any means...it was absolutely plain and something I could have made at home for $4. Also, they encourage people to eat with their hands, which is pretty unappetizing if you watch other people in the restaurant eating this way. We opted for utensils. I recommend this place if you're in for something different and don't mind spending alot of money on mediocre food. It was fun watching the bellydancers though. Pros: fun bellydancers Cons: , mediocre food more

Inauthentic and overpriced... 5/30/2004

The food, while authentic enough, was obscenely overpriced. For $22 I expected a large portion of lamb and vegetable couscous, a dish that is inexpensive to make and traditionally served in generous quantities. Instead I got a of bit of meat and vegetables over a spoonful of runny couscous. As for the Moroccan ""salads, where in Morocco do a couple of orange slices or cucumbers with salt and pepper pass as a salad? The music, which was not Moroccan, was excruciatingly loud when it accompanied the tacky belly dancing, which coincidentally is also not Moroccan, but an import from elsewhere in the Middle East. Our waiter was inattentative and forgot to bring items we requested. We sat waiting with empty plates a full twenty minutes between each course. The Casbah might be as close as you get to Moroccan dining in Savannah, but it is far from the real thing. Pros: Food (Mostly), Ambiance Cons: , Price more
