The 2 star rating ONLY reflects my most recent experience with Casal's. I've been going there about 10 years for everything from manicures to up-dos for weddings and proms to haircuts and highlights. I've always had a truly wonderful experience...until my wedding day.\r

My mom had to pay quite a bit extra for me since I was to see the bridal experts, and I could be wrong, but I do not feel that I got any extra special hairstylist or makeup artist. The entire time my hairstylist was doing my hair, she complained to the other beauticians about how annoying it was to have to work on a Saturday and how lucky they were to get to leave at 1pm instead of 3pm like her, and on an on. I work in a hospital, and I completely understand about working on weekends, and holidays too. But I would NEVER complain in front of a patient. She made me feel bad for making the appointment. Sorry that I ruined her Saturday.\r

My hair turned out quite lovely. But, I have poker straight hair and wanted it curled. I told the stylist to PLEASE use tons of hairspray and do whatever she needs to make it stay in (Casal's has pulled this off for me many times before). This time, unfortunately on the one day that it really mattered, my hair was nearly flat before the ceremony (approximately 1 hour later).\r

Although the makeup artist had a much better attitude and was sweet and funny, I didn't feel like she spent much time with me. She didn't even give me a good chance to tell her what I wanted, which is usually okay with me since I'm pretty easy going and they tend to do a beautiful job there...but when it was all said and done, my makeup was streaky and I had almost no color. I like natural-looking make-up, but it looked like I was barely wearing anything (except for the foundation streaks).\r

The part that really upset me was that I went on their website and explained that I feel this was the worst service I have ever had there, and they didn't send me any response at all. It's a shame, because I really used to love this place (and the fact that they don't accept tips), but I will never be back.
