I lived in Mexico for many years and this is by far the most authentic mexican food that I have experienced in california.. I have also lived many years in San Francisco, and no restaurant matches the exotic dishes, expecially the seafood!!! Love those shrimp dishes. Furthermore, the prompt service and friendly waitresses contributed to wonderful ambience. I read the reviews of previous patrons and I was appauled at the statements. I have never felt passionate enough to write a review, but this restaurant and service deserves the praise.. more

I don't go to mexican restaurants and this one was no exception to the rule. My wife tried typical mexican fare and she was'nt too impressed. I had one of their seafood specialties-a shrimp bacon wrapped skewer and I loved it. Overall, I'd say it was ok but we've never been back. more

As of 2004, Misión Rogelio has 5 restaurants. Do not expect the same quality of food and service at all restaurants. I've visited all 5. My favorite is his first one is in Cameron Park. But for the best Latin Music (not Mexican), go to the one in Folsom on Fridays, or the one in Gold River (Sunrise Blvd/near 50) on Saturdays. The food is average, but the price is good and the music is fantastic. I go for the music. No cover charge. Stay away from their wine, but the Margaritas are good. Pros: Good music in Folsom, Good music in Sunrise, Good avocado dip more
