My family and I recently moved from Louisiana to Illinois. I know the move was a fairly big one considering my children were leaving friends behind. We wouldn't have moved if it weren't for getting a better job in the Chicago area. I was struggling with trying to support my family, along with my husbands business teetering in this economy. My children started staying out later and later, I was catching them in lies, hanging with a questionable crowd, ditching class etc. I know that as a family this isn't where we wanted to be (situation, not Chicago necessarily) but here we are. My husband and I just couldn't take the stress of wondering where our teenagers were all the time. So we made it a family mission to go see Dr. Sherry. With his help, we were able to figure out the issues behind our kids acting out, my husband and I's financial stress and burdens on each other, and learn how to function as a normal ( as we could get ) family. The kids especially loved the session where he made the parents be quiet and the children had the floor to speak their minds. I honestly learned a lot about my children through counseling. I thank Dr. Sherry for bringing my family closer. We are a stronger unit because of him. Having gone through many sessions, I can safely say I would have paid more for these results.
