Cartwright Plumbing Heating

Today my mother in law called this company because there was water on the floor behind her toilet. The technician arrived and replace the supply line from the angle stop to the toilet, a $7.00 part. He was there for less than 20 minutes. The charge was $186.08. I called there office where an unidentifed receptionist refused to provide me the General managers or owners names or e-mail addresses. She did tell me that the technician was there for 1 hour and 6 minutes. My wife was also there and agrees that the time there was less than 20 minutes. When the receptionist was asked why there was not time on the invoice she could not answer that question. Seems like a very crooked outfit to me . Be very careful if you use these crooks. more

Don't think for a minute that this is a local company run by Old Man Cartwright for the last 60 years, he sold the company back in 1999 / 2000 to the corporation that owns Rotor Rooter franchise. Their marketing strategy is to buy and pose as a 'local' well establish company, that has a main goal of taking as much money from you as possible by finding as many problems they can, & then charge you as much as they can. I had them come out to unblock a toilet, that usually takes 30mins to snake out, and cost under $100. Before i knew it they had their special cameras out (extra fee) and in the drains telling me that there is major damage to the pipe that was going to cost me ant least $2000 to fix & replace, before they could come back to do all the work i got a second opinion from a real Local company (Capital), They told me there was a slight problem with some roots, they poured a ""root killer solution"" down there and $60 & 2 years later haven't had one problem, I would NEVER recommend or use Cartwrights again. more

I am a widow living in Santa Fe. Yesterday I discovered I had no hot water. I tried several times to light the pilot of the water heater but I just couldn't get it going. I called Cartwright's and explained that I couldn't light the pilot and asked them what was the cost for a service call. They said they couldn't quote prices by phone but the service man would give me a price before he did any work. Ok, fine, the guy came, and a minute later had it lit--great, right? Well not really because then he gave me a bill for (drum roll, please)150 bucks! I kid you not! I ended up talking with a nasty supervisor and he finally knocked it down to a total of $84.43. Never again will I call these thieves and you shouldn't either! more

1.5 hours late, put ladder on metal edge of roof and bent it, then when I complained, the worker dropped the F bomb. I instructed the moron to leave. Call someone else. Pros: Nothing Cons: Late, damage to house, profanity more
