We have used Carrollton West Pet Hospital for 13 years and have loved the top-class service that they provided to our Golden Retriever. All my pets have gone to this hospital since I moved here 22 years ago. Each pet had the highest level of service and expertise. I am right now with Dr. Champagne and my min pin lived to be 19 years old. This office does all they can on research to find the best medicine. If extra care is needed that they do not provide, for example a sonogram, MRI etc... they have no qualms about referring you up to the Animal Diagnostic Clinic (they have chemotherapy etc.. ) Dr. Champagne is thorough and really cares for your pet. more

Dr van Antwerp and her colleagues and staff cannot be beaten! My dogs have been under her care for nearly 10 years now and we couldn't ask for more efficient, compassionate, professional and loving care. From complicated hip problems to behavior issues to the rainbow bridge everybody at CWPH has been fantastic. The vets and staff are very nice. However, when it comes to mail order medications I do feel it should be a choice. Everyone cannot afford the high cost of medications these days. If they cannot afford the high cost and have no other options than their pets' may not be getting any medications. Either the animal does not get the med and possibly is harmed because of that OR the medications is inferior because it is ordered on-line and harms the animal. Solution - someone could donate medications that feel that strongly against the on-line medications. more

We have been using Carrollton West for three years and would not trade them or their staff for anything. They listen, they care and they respond. The are very caring and loving towards the animals in their care and their have extremely high standards. We love them and appreciate them a lot. We highly recommend them! more

I've been taking both of my dogs here for 2 years and can't think of one thing to complain about. The vets are all super friendly and very informative. They're always willing to answer ALL my questions at great length to make sure I understand everything. They treat my babies like they were their own. I can't ask for more than that. Prices I think are pretty average for veterinarians around here. For all their annual shots it's about $110 per pup. more

I have only been once. My cat had random bald spots and I was concerned it was ringworm (it wasn't...food allergies). Dr. Osofsky took the time to talk to me, listened to EVERY word, wrote it all down, and even showed me examples of my cat's condition in a textbook. She didn't rush in or out whatsoever. I was VERY satisfied. I have another appt. soon with my other cat who I am also moving to this clinic. I haven't dealt with the other vets, but Dr. Osofsky was great. more

I think this is a great hospital. The CARE they give my PETS is really awesome.I can't believe someone would put something stupid like WHERE they get their meds from interfere with there pet care.I also would not EVER buy something that my pets life depends on, on the internet or by mail! Most of their products DO NOT carry the same 'manufacturer warranty'.Example, get Heartgard from this place, & your dog gets heartworm (nothing is 100%) Merial WILL NOT cover treatment.I've found out that Merial DOES NOT even sell to PetMeds. They are getting it illegally somehow and I AM GLAD MY VET DOES NOT SUPPORT THEM OR ANY OTHER 'MAIL ORDER PET MEDICATION' more

For the 2nd time, the vet refused to honor my RX with PedMeds for heart meds for my dog. After the 1st time, I wrote a letter, strongly stating that I didn't wish to have this experience again. I feel it is my right to buy my pet's meds from where I choose (esp. when they are the same meds). After spending unnecessary time claiming my rights, he said I could come to his office to pick up a written RX and mail it myself. Not sure what difference that made except more hassle for me. We did go by the office - and picked up our pet's records and took them to our original vet - Frankford Animal Hospital. See their review. They were and still are GREAT. more

Recently took our pet to Dr. Joyner and he was very understanding and patience with our pet. It was good to see a smile on his face as it allowed us to have a better experience PROS: Service CONS: more

We started going there when the owner Dr. Joyner was there and we went to him. We loved him. However, he had health problems and is no longer practicing there. We still liked their office and other vets enough to stay with them for a while. However, they are a little further drive for us in Coppell so we just recently switched to a Coppell vet. I still recommend Carrollton West Vet Hospital though. They were a good, quality, caring vet. Pricing seemed high, but all vets might be now days. more
