I have loved every experience at Dr. Dave's office! The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and treat each patient like they matter. Dr. Dave is efficient, yet gentle and uses some of the most up to date equipment I have ever seen. I am never nervous before a visit to Dr. Dave's office and I quite enjoy the complimentary beverages offered to clients while they are waiting. I would recommend Dr. Dave to anyone looking for a dentist. Pros: Friendly and pain free Cons: A bit pricey compared to other dentists I have been to. more

NEVER HAVE I HAD A DENTAL EXPERENCE LIKE THIS ONE IN MY LIFE . I CALLED DR.DAVE'S OFFICE AROUND 5 PM ON A FRIDAY WITH A PAIN THAT WOULD NOT GO AWAY. I WAS IN TEARS AND DID'NT KNOW HOW I WAS GOING TO MAKE IT THROUGH THE WEEKEND. DR.DAVE STAYED LATE TO GIVE ME A ROOT CANAL HOW AMAZING I WAS OUT OF PAIN AND HAPPY TO HAVE A DOCTOR THAT TRULY CARED !! I have been going to Dr. Carothers for about a year now and I have been very happy with the service! The ladies there are so helpful when I have questions and working out my crazy schedule, all with a smile and great attitude! I am about half way through my invisalign treatment and I have to come in once a month and a couple times, I have had to bring my 2 year old son and they are very nice to allow that and make my visit quick and easy! more

Because of his staff, I feel more relaxed. I have been seeing Dr. Carothers for years. At one point I tried switching to someone more convenient to me. I saw 2 other dentists and was not satisfied with either. I returned to Dr. Carothers and know from experience that he is superior to any dentists I have ever used. Also, he has a state of the art practice, a great personality, and wonderful staff. more

Dr. Carothers is the first dentist to listen to me and take my concerns seriously. What a relief! He is gentle and kind and very skilled. He practices mercury-free dentistry which is important to me. My husband and I moved here from California about a year and a half ago and blindly were looking for a new dentist. We completely lucked out finding Dr. Carothers and his team! They are absolutely professional, use the latest technology, and everyone there is friendly, receptive, and on top of everything. Unfortunately, my husband lapsed in regular dental check-ups previously so he had a lot of catching up and dental work to be done over this past year but Dr. Dave and his staff worked with us to get the timing right financially. I'm a dental hygienist and had the pleasure of working with Doctor Dave for quit a long while. I was immediately made part of his work family and was very happy working there. In fact I was so happy that after I was no longer working for him I made him my personal dentist.\r \r I know that all the patients I saw in his practice absolutely loved him. I found Dr. Carothers through 1-800-dentist when we moved to Portland 17 years ago. I have always been pleased with the entire staff and experience we receive. He was my childrens first and only dentist and has taken such good care of them, they have never ""feared"" going to the dentist. Even though we have moved farther and farther away, from his office over the years, I have never considered changing dentists. Plus, I love the complimentary frappuccinos!!! more

I broke one of my front teeth during a summer rafting trip -- terrible, right? To make matters worse it broke off below the gum line, so I had to get a dental implant. My usual dentist did not do implants and he recommended that I see Dr. Carothers. I was expecting it to be a pretty rough procedure, what with extracting the root and all that, I thought it would be painful as heck afterwards, with lots of swelling etc. As it turns out it was completely trouble free. He did the extraction and placed the implant with a temporary crown in the same visit. It was not really any more unpleasant than getting a filling. Of course, I was just happy to be having it fixed. Afterwards it was slightly sore for a couple of days and that was it. When I came back to get the permanent crown I was happy to discover that he could make the crown right there in the office, so there was no waiting around to get the crown back from a lab. I know that it can be very difficult to make the color match when replacing a single front tooth, so I wasn't really expecting perfection. I was wrong. Dr. Carothers made two different porcelain crowns, painstakingly tinting each one to make the color match a well as possible and then picking the best of the two. The final crown was perfect, and now I have my smile back. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Carothers, he is very caring and very talented, and he has a terrific staff. You will not be disappointed.
