Friendly service with good communication 1/27/2013

I took my wife's minivan back to Carothers Auto after they worked on it for an issue it had while at a body shop next door. I liked the level of communication they gave me with a friendly approach, so I gave them another opportunity for this second repair. The only complaint I have is that they did not tell me that the diagnostic fee was not rolled into the cost of the repair, so the final cost was about $50 more than I expected. more

Thankful to have an honest and competent mechanic 1/16/2013

It stinks when my car needs repair but I am very thankful that I found Carothers Auto Repair, they are very warm and friendly, honest with their pricing and go the extra mile every time i've been there. They replaced a burnt tail light, drove me home when one repair would take hours, and often the final price is less than originally quoted. The staff is always very personable and they always thank me for my business. I really appreciate that, I recommend them constantly :) more

You all are wonderful!! It is so nice to have a place that we can take our cars to (or in my case this morning have you come to me not once but twice) and know that we will be taken care of. First of all you know what you are doing and are first rate mechanics! You are honest and trustworthy which is hard to find these days. Fixed & On the Road 6/2/2011

I've had a few repairs at Ted's Auto, mostly small stuff... lights, brakes, and such,and they've always treated me right,courtesous and fast. Ted has been telling me for a while,that I need to service my van. Well... after returning from an out-of-town trip with my family where we experienced some more severe problems with our van, I really dreaded the expected cost of repair my procrastination might have caused. more

A real mechanic. 5/24/2011

As a woman I feel that every time I go to a mechanics shop, I get marked as an ""easy"" target. I have been to quite a few shops in Nashville & Franklin, TN and with few exceptions this has happened. I schedule an appointment for service and get back a laundry list of ""needed repairs"". A girlfriend of mine said I should try Ted's shop, she has had good experiences with them. So I drove my Toyota in to them for what I thought was a tune up. I told the mechanic at the counter about my problem and he said he would check my car over & someone would call me to let me know what they recommended. About an hour later I got a call and was told they had my car ready. I was immediatley worried as I had not authorized any kind of repair to be made, and when I asked Ted on the phone what was done, he said they replaced some vacuum hoses that were cracked. I asked him what I owed him, and he said pay for the hoses and that would be it. WOW! more
