I have been taking my clothes here for years. I have never had a problem with any of their work. Professional and sweet every time. Their prices are very affordable. Would I take my wedding dress? Probably not. If I were to have them put buttons on something (like the review before mine) I would take my own buttons and spend more than five dollars. more

I have visited this shop on several occasions (for both alterations and cleaning), and had a decent experience. However, I dropped off a sweater recently that was missing all but one button. I asked them to replace the missing buttons and try to match the one remaining button as best as possible. I picked it up and took it home only to find that the one existing brown-tiger eye button was flanked by a set of all black buttons and they had missed the last one completely. I took it back and explained that the buttons did not come close to matching the existing button, and that they had missed one. The lady told me that I had to provide my own buttons if I wanted them to match (why they replaced them the first time is beyond me if that is actually the case) and that I should dig through a box of mix-match buttons to find one that is 'close enough' and they would sew it on. I repeated that I had asked for brown tiger eye (or as similar as possible) to match the one existing button, and then she tried to tell me that THEY had put that button on and that I was lying about it being an existing button. This went back and forth for a few minutes as I repeatedly told her that NO, that was MY button that I asked them to match (they didn't) and that they never told me to provide my own buttons (do I have to provide them with needles and thread to do their jobs too??), and finally just said 'nevermind, I'll be taking it elsewhere to have it done properly.' As I began to leave, she offered to refund my money (a whopping $5), and as she counted out the bills, the lady whose English is poor ran up and made her put half back. This is the most unprofessional place I have ever been. I will never return here, even though it is walking distance from my home. Instead I plan to take all my alterations to Linda's Allure Alterations. My husband had a suit tailored there and we were extremely impressed with her professionalism, craftsmanship and timeliness. He looked like the suit was made to order. Save yourself some headache and take it to the people who know how to do their jobs. (I have posted this on google map reviews as well so that is sure to be found - I wouldn't want anyone to experience what I have!) more

I had 4 suits and a couple pairs of paints to be taken in. The staff at Carol's did a great job fitting me and taking special requests. They also were fast and threw in complimentary dry cleaning. This service doesn't come cheap, but I'm fine with paying for a good thing. You can trust your best clothes with Carol - I won't go anywhere else. Pros: Personal service, quick service, high-quality alterations, special requests taken, they seem genuinely appreciative of your business Cons: Not cheap, but I still consider it a good value for what you get more

My family and I have been using Carol's Alterations for years and we highly recommend her. She has helped me with curtains and decor for my children's nurseries, altered my husbands pants and suits, made my children adorable costumes, has provided guidance and assistance with crafts and projects around the house and school, has made and altered beautiful dresses for my nieces prom and flower girl dresses and has helped me through all my different clothing sizes from pre-pregnancy to post-pregnancy. One of our church member had recommended Carol's Alterations & Cleaners to do our alteration tuxedos. Carol was so nice. When my brother-in-law came in from dallas the day before the wedding and his tuxedos didn't fit, the tailor did the alterations in the same day for us. The women who run this business are terribly rude and often very difficult to communicate with. The work they do is mediocre and hardly worth the way they treat you. No matter how nice and agreeable you are, they will talk badly about you in Vietnamese right in front of your face. My boyfriend, who speaks Vietnamese, told me that they even referred to me using a derogatory Vietnamese term for my race. The last time I used them my pants were still way too long and and the lining was hanging out of the bottom of a skirt. When I very politely brought them back because I was understandably unhappy with way they came out , she quickly became irate and started screaming at me telling me that she didn't have time to do the pants right now (which I never asked her to do) and that I would have to pay for her to fix the skirt again (even though their policy is that you have a week to bring something back). I've never been yelled at in any business situation, not to mention one in which I've just given them a sizable amount of money. I don't think I should have to pay for someone else's mistakes, and I have generally found their behavior to be unacceptable. With so many other good tailors in town, I would recommend supporting a business with a better sense of ethics and customer appreciation. more

Carol's is excellent! I have used them numerous times for alterations and have never had a problem. Their work is flawless. Prices are reasonable in relation to the quality of work.
