Excellent Wine Selection 5/27/2011

Went here for a friend's wedding and was very pleased. My girlfriend and I sat at the very large bar and and had delicious appetizers and shared a wine flight. Upscale, friendly service and a beautiful location. If you get to SF Bay are you should make the trip up here. more

Wagyu beef--best steak I've had. 7/3/2007

I'm not exactly sure if we got lucky or not, but my wife and I visited this restaurant after we stayed at the attached lodge. We actually ended up there by doing a ""Priceline"" quote at the last minute. Needless to say, Carneros Restaurant was amazing that night. Pros: Great steak--great service Cons: Could be very loud if busy. more

Home run on the hamburger but a strike out on the pizza 12/30/2006

In my first visit this place had the best hamburger in Sonoma County that I have tasted, but I am still checking out their consistancy. In my second visit the meat quality was not as good. John Barlycorn's still retains the best consistant burger title. The pizzas are creative, but their dough was awful. At least they understand the concept of deducting an indedible item off the check. Some places do not have enough class in operation and this place surely does. I got a good sense of what being a restaurant is all about here. The ingredients, service, and atmosphere are top notch. Brian Nicholson totally took care of us... it was amazing. special menus with our names on them, private seating on the patio, rose petals on the tables. NO EXTRA CHARGE. A Romantic Getaway 1/13/2005

One of my most favorite episodes from my visit to Sonoma is my dinner at this restaurant. Sure , the menu is quite pricy, but the quality of food and service is outstanding! Homegrown veggies are combined with delectable luxuries like foie gras and applewood smoked bacon.... Too expensive 10/18/2004

the location is very nice and beautiful, but the hotel could have done a little better job with its culinary outfit. I got ripped with the lunch menu which was not very tasty and dinner menu was awkwardly high. Breakfast was reasonable and the view was cool. Pros: Location, good parking Cons: , poor menu more
