I used Carmon Funeral Home in Vernon CT. Wendy Smith Thames went over and beyond the call of duty with her assistance and guidance. She arranged full military honors for the service and was more than willing to answer my many questions. I would highly recommend Wendy and Carmon Funeral Homes. more

I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy. 7/21/2013

Using Carmon Funeral home has been the worst experience in my life especial at a time like this. I made all my arrangements with the owner and the service was horrible. Here is my list of complaints: 1. They did not die my mother's hair as I requested on several occasion and I even provided a photo. 2. The casket I selected was not the correct color. 3. I had to basically verify my insurance information yet they charge you 5% of the balance to complete the insurance work. 4. They ran out of thank you cards. I was told I had to pick them up later. Well you messed this up so I feel you should get them to me. 5. They did not coordinate with the other funeral (my mother died in another state) to request my death certificate. 6. The day of the funeral my mother's clothing as a mess. The funeral director did not check her appearance prior to letting people view her body. Exceptional Service by Carmon Funeral Home in Windsor 9/26/2012

Recently my wife lost her beloved father unexpectedly and we live out of State. Windsor was her home town and in talking with relatives they all recommended Carmon Funeral Home. We called late one Friday evening and were put in contact with Frank Carmon IV. Throughout the entire process Mr. Carmon worked tirelessly and professionally to comfort my wife and took care of every aspect of the final arrangements for her Dad. While there are lots of details and arrangements to deal with, Mr. Carmon always took the time to help us understand our options and offered sound professional advice all while maintaining the dignity that was so important to us for these final services. From the initial phone discussions through the final burial Mr. Carmon was available at any time day or night and conducted himself with a level of professionalism and caring that was a comfort in our emotionally challenging time. My Grandfather passed away July 21, 2009, he had already told our family that Carmon Funeral Home was to take care of his body. I called and spoke immediately with Mrs. Wendy Thames and setup our appointment for 1pm that day. Mrs. Thames listened to our family needs and ideas and gave us ideas. My Grandfather's funeral was real nice and Carmon did an awesome job by making my Grandfather look as if he was young again. Carmon keep up the great work. I was overly satisfied with the services that Matt provided to me and my family during the planning of my sister's funeral. They were very professional, warm and kind. They sincerely realize what you are facing and make everything convenient. They will come to your home and handle everything you need handled. I love the fact that even after everything was over, they still came by and called to see how I was doing. more

Carmon Funeral Home 2/5/2008

I have to admit that my family has known the Carmon family for many years. Because of that they were able to give an extra special personal touch to my dad's funeral. However I have no doubt that they would be just as sensitive and compassionate with any family. They were wonderful during a very difficult time. more

I have had to use this funeral home on several occassions and have found the staff to be so pleasant. I think during a difficult time it is nice to have kind and compassionate people helping you. more
