I should start by saying that this review is really more about value.
The positives:
Great Location
Clean/Modern Rooms and Amenities
The negatives:
The Bed was ridiculously hard. A hard bed is healthy for your back, a brick bed is not.
The ""generous"" continental breakfast was really pretty ordinary.
The parking is difficult. There aren't enough spaces (though you can probably usually find very nearby street parking. The spaces were tiny...college campus tiny.
Overall, if you were spending 70 or 80 a night, this hotel wouldn't be bad, but that's not possible in Carmel, and the 150-200 price range doesn't provide a real good value.
Pros: location, amenities
Cons: hard beds, parking, value
