I am an ex hairdresser who is VERY particular, & hard to please. I have tried several salons, & many stylists, but until I met ""Nazanine"" at ""Carlton Hair"".....never satisifed!!!! ""Nazanine"" is (in my opinion) one of the TOP Stylists in Orange County. From the moment you walk into ""Carlton Hair""....""Nazanine's"" ability to really listen to her clients, her expertise in cut, color & styling, have you feeling special, beautiful & completely satisifed. I have not only found the ""Best Stylist"", but a friend as well!!!Thank you ""Nazanine"" for all that you do to help make my life more Beautiful........XO Donna N\r Pros: Best Stylist/Colorist in town Cons: Uncomfortable Wash Chairs...which they are replacing!!! more

Updo central 12/20/2008

I was in to get my hair done for my friend's wedding awhile back, and wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I usually do my own hair and don't bother to pay anyone else to do it, but this time it was worth it. I ended up with it pinned half way up and had a few tendrills in the front, and it turned out better than I ever imagined! If I ever get married someday soon (*crossing fingers*) I will make sure to get my hair done here. Thank u! more

Great cut 12/9/2008

I am one of those dudes who's outside a lot, I surf, skate, and wakeboard all the time. So, I knew I couldn't get a cut that was super high maintenance but I wanted a cut that still was a little longer and shaggy. Solmaz gave me that cut and even threw in a couple highlights. Christine is FABULOUS! 12/9/2008

I am so glad I started seeing Christine for my haircuts and color-- she is just fabulous! I am always impressed by her knowledge of hair. Last visit I wanted to go from really long hair to a short bob. She said that I should maybe try a medium length first because clients tend to make such drastic changes from long to short so they don't get a chance to experience all the great lengths in between. We tried a medium cut and I LOVE it!! I am so glad I listened to Christine's advice, she is such a star! Pros: Christine :-) more

MY HAIR IS BEAUTIFUL, CONDITIONED AND HEALTHY! 12/7/2008

I received a texture service instead of a perm Like I usually do. Carlton Hair educated me on the difference of what I received from them and the perms of old. I will never go anywhere else again because my hair usually turns out dry frizzy etc. I can't say enough! Thankyou! Pros: Better then anyplace that I have gone before to have my hair permed! more

I was open to a change, a little tired of the same old cut from Wendy at (probably should not say from where). My cousin has her hair styled at The Shops. I just walked in. Got a mid-level cutter, won't say her name. She did a okay job. She is still working at her craft. I was happy with the results. We walked on the wild side a little. I loved it. There will be a next time. more

I am not a country singer. But when I walk out of Carlton, I look about as good as she does. I usually do some shopping. It is fun to turn a few heads from time to time. Not too many cowboy hats in the mall though LOL. Christine is a master. She takes what I bring in, and turns out something hot each time. They have a great staff too. Joanna is way cool. more

Go to the shops. Go to Carlton Hair. Have either Christine or Solmaz style your hair. You will be treated like royalty. You will relax. You will walk out looking about as good as you can. That is what happens to me each time I go. Looking this good is worth the money. Now this is short and sweet. more

I know that being a hairstylist is a hard task, but I didn't realize that there is such a difference between salons! I took the plunge and decided to get a ""real"" haircut. It was time to pay ""a little more"" The Shops are not far from my job. I have been twice. Both times, I was so happy with the results. Christine and Solmaz are both amazing. I'm a new customer to Carlton Hair Salon and I love it. They are very professional and still make you feel at home. Christine is my hair stylist and she is the greatest. She listens to what I want and does a flawless job. I was a bridesmade this past summer, and Christine totally rocked me out. I have never been able to find a hairstylist that could cut and style my hair in the way I wanted and loved, this all changed after I started coming to Solmaz. I have been going for over a year now and have never once been let down. Somaz is an amazingly talented, consistent, and personable hairstylist who truly cares to give you the cut and style every customer comes to a salon for. I have really fine sort of short hair and have been trying to grow it for what seems like forever! Solmaz has been cutting my hair for some time and we have talked about the idea of putting in some extensions just for a little length and some extra body. I finally went thru with it and I couldn't be happier! I always thought that exentions were for people who wanted more of that ""Hollywood"" hair. But, it has made such a difference in how my hair looks because it's now alot fuller. We added a little length, but mostly I love the body I FINALLY have!! If you have fine hair and just want a little more fullness and body, extensions are the way to go!! Ask for Solmaz. I love my hair.\r \r Pros: experience more

I am constantly stretched for time so getting a regular hair cut is hard to do. I requested Christine as I heard she was fabulous. She truly was. My hair came to her dry, damaged, and thin after going through corrective color. She was able to create a modern hair cut with built in volume. The best part was it grew out just as nice and I still receive compliments. She?s recommended products that improve the integrity of my hair, and I feel blessed to have found her. Fun relaxing place 12/4/2008

I felt so relaxed when i left the salon. I came in for a hair cut and ended up leaving with a fabulous color. The shampoo was amazing. The way the people cared about your feeling and your needs were amazing. She really knew what she was doing and talked me through every step of the way she styled my hair and told me that if i needed more help to just drop in and will show me how to d it with no extra charge. Stoic men's haircuts 12/4/2008

I was in yesterday to see Karen for a haircut. I am on a tight budget because I just got let go from my job, but I needed a haircut DESPERATELY before the holidays. I am a low maintenance guy so I didn't want anyone drooling over me trying to sell me products and get me to add on services I didn't need. Karen did none of that, and gave me a great cut. Amazing cuts-affordable prices 12/4/2008

I had my haircut by Kelli awhile ago, and thought I should write her a review. She was very friendly and knowledgable, and gave me a cut like no one else has. I am very picky about my hair and don't like to spend a lot, but the $45 was well worth it. I was so happy I purchased a gift card for my sister to see her! Pros: Kelli and all her glory Cons: spendy for cuts but worth the money more

Being from the East Coast, I have always wanted to color my hair but never found the right place to go. I recently moved from NY to CA for school, and was looking for a salon to color my hair when I found Carlton Hair. From the first phone call with the receptionist to the recommendation of seeing Solmaz (sp?) I was pleasantly surprised.
